To make a change from the โ€œwhat shall I get from Waitrose?โ€ threads ๐Ÿ˜

DS has a friend over tomorrow and DH is away. What easy supper should I get for myself from Lidl?

Have they changed the recipe for their filled pasta? I used to love it but the packets I bought last week (deluxe, one spinach, one butternut squash) were horrible and I ended up throwing it away - very unlike me

Oh I hope not. I've never had the butternut one but had the spinach one before and always loved it. I feel I have to buy some again as a test. I'll be so annoyed if it's shite now.

A melted cheese thing seems to be the winner. Particularly the Mac and Cheese. Will report back.

Was it good? What actually is it?
I had toast peanut butter and banana. Bloody nicem

I would pick cheese over my own children so I agree with the little cheese bake dishes and naice bread from the bakery section.

I would not actually pick cheese over my own children before anyone starts.

Hmmmm. Such is my love of cheese it would be a struggle to choose.

I like the family sized lasagna.
They used to do a paella in the freezer section, but havenโ€™t seen it lately. We used to added extra seafood to it.

Reporting back: the cheese and ham bake was deliciously gooey, but a touch salty. The chocolate covered pistachios are my new favourite thing.

If only Aldi stores had bakeries ....

The Aldi in Hertford has just got a bakery so there is hope! Really good selection too.

I would have steak. That might not be quite the thing you're thinking of though! A simple steak and salad, or chips if I'm hungry. Or even a steak and fried onion sandwich in crusty bread.f

failing that - it would be pizza and salad.
