I couldn’t figure it out at all yesterday but got it today. Although need to figure out how to colour the letters - that’s were I went wrong yesterday as I got all confused.

@Peridot1 If you tap the letters in the words you guess in the grid they change colour, both in the grid and on the keyboard. You can cycle through grey, orange and green depending on whether you think the letter doesn’t appear in the word or is does appear but is in the wrong or right place.

ETA: At least that’s how it works on a phone - maybe you can use the mouse to click on the letters if you’re on a laptop.

@SabrinaThwaite - yes I tried that yesterday but they seemed to change! So I didn’t try it today.

Ok I have a question!

I entered a word. It says 2 yellow. 0 green. I tap each letter in the word and they all go grey. I tap each one again and they all go yellow. Tap again and they all go green. Tap again and they all go back to white! I don’t get it!

You have to try and work out which letters to colour in. So if you try a word and it says you have no letters correct (either in the right or wrong place) you colour them all in grey. If it says you have two letters in the right place you have to try and work out which ones they are - if you can do that then you colour them green. Same for correct letters but in the wrong place.

It helps if you’ve ever played the old 1970s Mastermind game.

In your example, you’d need to try and work out which two letters are correct but in the wrong place and colour them orange. All the rest can be marked grey.

@Peridot1 when you think you have identified some letters and/or positions then tap each one individually until it's the appropriate colour. Compare what you get with the numbers at the end of the row, if they don't match them some of your assumptions are wrong.

Thanks @SabrinaThwaite and @MontyDonsBlueScarf. Will give it a go. I used to love the Mastermind game back in the 70s too!
