Tomorrow is the day I must get my shit together

Dd has been off sick but she's fine to go back to school tomorrow

The house is a tip, both up and downstairs. Every room needs cleaning 😫

Need to order some paint

Need to get some food in

Need to do some self care

Need to take some stuff to the tip

Need to paint my bedroom

Need to do more laundry 🙄

And I'm just sat here, laying down no idea how I'm gonna get started

What have you got to do? Also, motivate me please 😄😫

First day back at work after 12 days off 😴 I really shouldn’t complain after all the time off but I really can’t stand the job so it feels horrendous.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 22/01/2025 22:35

I have a course on incontinence to attend.

I was a different person when I signed up for it. More enthusiastic, less tired.

Then I’m going to try my new breadmaker. And if it works, eat a whole loaf of bread.

lissie123 · 22/01/2025 22:36

Day off work tomorrow- so planning a
longish walk with the dogs, meet friends for coffee and get my nails done. Then supermarket shop and post office. Then an exercise class before dinner.

delphinedupont · 22/01/2025 22:36

Decorating. Not a huge room but needs loads doing to it. One of those where do you start type jobs where everything looks worse before it gets better. Chunk your list up, by such time you’ll have done x, y and z etc. Feels less overwhelming. We can do this, op!! Think of the end results!

mitogoshigg · 22/01/2025 22:41

Full day at work, dc left home so chill in evening with dh.

@mumofoneAlonebutokay

Get the laundry on now and make sure any clean laundry is away tonight, make sure washing up is done / dishwasher on, will make tomorrow easier.

Break it down into tasks, clearing up needs to be prioritised over diy, so tomorrow finish the laundry, get the groceries and get sorting ending up with a tip run if time

Peaceloveandhappiness · 22/01/2025 22:41

Having my first cataract surgery on Fri, getting more and more anxious but trying to stay calm. Working my way down a long list of tasks - getting uptodate with washing, housework, car MOT, etc, etc. Important tasks like dying my eyebrows too 😂. Being busy takes my mind off things, DH very helpful, both retired so plenty of time to do everything.

BondStreet · 22/01/2025 22:44

Last day of work for the week - hooray!

I’m making teriyaki chicken and sticky rice tomorrow so will get that marinated early in the morning.

Need to call Sky as they seem to have hiked up my monthly payments over the last 2 months and need to call mortgage provider to find out when my fixed term is up.

All of that could be reframed to be a perfectly pleasant day.

Clean with your favourite music on. Blast it for 45 mins upstairs, have a break, then same again downstairs.
Food shopping followed by a nice coffee shop.
Laundry... meh... if there's anything too small/worn then bin it & reduce the pile.

Your day sounds infinitely better than going to work and still having to do it all when you get back. Find the positives

SomebodyElsesName · 22/01/2025 22:45

Tax return 🫤

RosesAndHellebores · 22/01/2025 22:45

Three three hour meetings
Two very complex letters (3/4 pages each)
One committee paper
One delicate phone convo
My email in-box (probs 25 that need attention tomorrow)
Check some report
Summarise a piece of advice
Take queries from my team
Cook dinner
Put the ironing away
Nudge hairdresser
Chat to dd (in the middle of Ofsted)
Pack DH's weekend bag

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 22/01/2025 22:48

Working from home tomorrow. I’m a lecturer so have work to mark, then prep for our new teaching semester beginning. I’m hoping to go to a new coffee shop that’s opened locally at lunch or for a coffee, as I am really bad for sitting at my laptop all day without proper breaks when I WFH.

While working I plan to do a load of laundry, and maybe strip/change our bed too. We have an easy dinner planned for the evening, then Traitors.

DustyMaiden · 22/01/2025 22:49

Clean DF house. The amount of mess one old man can make is astounding.

Water41 · 22/01/2025 22:51

Go to work at 4:30am, muck out ten stables, feed ten horses, sweep the yard, turn half of them out. Have to take my mum to an appointment at 11am so go to that before taking some stuff to the skip for my sister. Go back to work to bring in a couple of horses for work and ride them. Then pick my niblings up from after school club and look after them until sis comes home from work at 6pm.

Moier · 22/01/2025 22:55

Nothing.. absolutely bloody nothing... will have a cuppa and a chat with my cleaner and carer.. hopefully they will be cake too.
I had an appointment but had to rearrange.
I can hardly walk right now.
I'm in so much pain l feel like I've been in a car crusher.
But I've had worse pain.
Just changed my morphine patch so hopefully that will help.

ThatUniqueKoala · 22/01/2025 22:56

Working but nights so I've got until the evening. Other than obviously sleep at some point when I get home at 7am, I need to vacuum the bedrooms, pick up some bits from Boots, pay bills, call my mother as it's her birthday. DDs bedroom is constantly a mess so I need to tidy that as well. Probably forgotten a bunch of stuff

Youngheartsalittletogetherness · 22/01/2025 23:00

Eye test and choose new frames.
Meet mum for coffee.
Get some goodies to munch for Friday and staying in because it's going to be a stormy one on Friday.

@delphinedupont

Thank you 🥰 - okay gonna get a wash on tonight and bring some black bags upstairs so I can be prepared to throw away anything I can

I'll bring up the paint aswell actually

Cleaning is the priority, as well as popping to the dump (🙄)

😫😫 binning small things is my fave thing to do, feels so freeing

Yes, true, I'm so happy not to have to do it all after a full working day!

Steel myself and do all I can to ease my husband’s/childrens’ minds: he’s going in for life saving surgery on Friday.

I’ve got to get to the gym mega early. I’ve got to get a shit tonne of work done. I’ve got to eat healthily. And then I’ve got to not drink. All of which I don’t want to do.

Youngheartsalittletogetherness · 22/01/2025 23:19

Ne Scotland 😁

Nannyfannybanny · 22/01/2025 23:19

Up early Thursday is main shop day. Aim to leave home at 7..40. shopping away. Breakfast, feed, walk dogs. Tidy up. Drive to youngest DS. (Registered disabled,I am his carer) That takes an hour on a good day, then run him to his nearest job centre with id. He's got problems with a new cooker, don't know if there's a problem or he's doing something wrong. DH is looking at that.. home in rush hour will take 90 minutes. Then a nice cuppa. Dinner is already in the slo cooker. I always take DS a portion.
