Tomorrow is the day I must get my shit together

Dd has been off sick but she's fine to go back to school tomorrow

The house is a tip, both up and downstairs. Every room needs cleaning 😫

Need to order some paint

Need to get some food in

Need to do some self care

Need to take some stuff to the tip

Need to paint my bedroom

Need to do more laundry 🙄

And I'm just sat here, laying down no idea how I'm gonna get started

What have you got to do? Also, motivate me please 😄😫

Self care. I've been putting myself last for ages and need to spend some me time. plan to meditate, go for a walk, have a coffee with some friends and take it easy.

Steel myself and do all I can to ease my husband’s/childrens’ minds: he’s going in for life saving surgery on Friday.

Wishing him - and you of course - all the best for tomorrow. And wishing You strength to prop everyone else up too 💐

Three three hour meetings
Two very complex letters (3/4 pages each)
One committee paper
One delicate phone convo
My email in-box (probs 25 that need attention tomorrow)
Check some report
Summarise a piece of advice
Take queries from my team
Cook dinner
Put the ironing away
Nudge hairdresser
Chat to dd (in the middle of Ofsted)
Pack DH's weekend bag

It's all so much

Fingers crossed it goes smoothly for you but you must be exhausted at the end of the days?

Chair a meeting of all our LA secondary school Headteachers about increased exclusions and what we can do about improving the situation.

Meet parents of two teenagers who have been permanently excluded and don't like the placements they have been offered.

Meet one of the new secondary Heads who I support to look at the process of staff redundancies.

Decide whether to accept a new job (promotion) I have been asked to consider. It has pros and cons.

Working from home tomorrow. I’m a lecturer so have work to mark, then prep for our new teaching semester beginning. I’m hoping to go to a new coffee shop that’s opened locally at lunch or for a coffee, as I am really bad for sitting at my laptop all day without proper breaks when I WFH.

While working I plan to do a load of laundry, and maybe strip/change our bed too. We have an easy dinner planned for the evening, then Traitors.

Traitors is of course the most essential part of your day! 🤭

Of course, did you get a month off over Christmas or do you get a bit less time than the students?

Thank you so much. I’ll be fine tomorrow/Friday.

I’ll collapse in an heap when he’s home safe and well. Might take to bed with him for a week 🤣

Go to work at 4:30am, muck out ten stables, feed ten horses, sweep the yard, turn half of them out. Have to take my mum to an appointment at 11am so go to that before taking some stuff to the skip for my sister. Go back to work to bring in a couple of horses for work and ride them. Then pick my niblings up from after school club and look after them until sis comes home from work at 6pm.

Omg

Your day sounds the hardest tbh, starting physical work at 4.30, then looking after kids

At least you can hand them back though

I'd love to ride a horse one day - i hear that they're amazing judges of character as well

Pick up my Jane Eyre print and ds's Spiderman print. They have been framed at the framing shop.

Get some food in.

Give myself a manicure.

Book my Eyebrow tint appointment.

Finish my homework for my Calligraphy course.

I'm sorry to hear dh is poorly ❤️

Hopefully it goes really well for you - how long will the surgery take?

Hopefully afterwards you will be able to rest as I imagine it's taken its toll on you as well as dh x

Sounds stressful 😳

Could be worth it if it won't add stress to your life, but then what job doesn't 😒

I’ve got to get to the gym mega early. I’ve got to get a shit tonne of work done. I’ve got to eat healthily. And then I’ve got to not drink. All of which I don’t want to do.

Me too girl, I'm trying to kick my sugar addiction for good! We can do this!

Nothing.. absolutely bloody nothing... will have a cuppa and a chat with my cleaner and carer.. hopefully they will be cake too.
I had an appointment but had to rearrange.
I can hardly walk right now.
I'm in so much pain l feel like I've been in a car crusher.
But I've had worse pain.
Just changed my morphine patch so hopefully that will help.

Im sorry to hear you're in pain - what's happened?

I normally clean my house every Thursday but I have moved it to Friday. I just have few appointments
(1)window cleaner coming
(2) Alarm service man is coming
(3) GP appointment
(4) cleaning the fish tank and it’s hard work but I love my gold fish 🐠

MrsSkylerWhite · 22/01/2025 23:40

She’s timetabled him from 11 am for the rest of the day. He’s an awkward bugger 😁

Just a day at work 😁

I know- that's what I need to decide. It's quite a salary rise though but we don't need the money. However, I earn less than DH and this would mean I earned just about the same so would have a better pension that I would currently have when I retire. And you never know what can happen in a relationship - I feel my time out as a SAHM has affected my career and this would put me back on track but it would have costs in terms of working later one night a week approx - prob not get home until 7 or 8pm.

MrsSkylerWhite · 22/01/2025 23:42

”She”? Sorry, his surgeon. Brilliant woman.

I’ve told him he’s not allowed to fall in love with her (even though I have, a tiny bit 🤣)

Notaflippinclue · 22/01/2025 23:44

Having a late lunch and cinema with a pal

GingerLiberalFeminist · 22/01/2025 23:47

Get DD dressed and to nursery
Fold tumbler clothes
Put wash on
Clean bathroom
Clean kitchen
Ride the horses
Tidy my bedroom
Dust
Hoover
Clean the car maybe
Sort car tires maybe
Call a colleague maybe
Deliver some leaflets maybe

The reality is I'll get some done 😅

Sgtmajormummy · 22/01/2025 23:49

Tomorrow I’m renewing my driving licence with sight and hearing tests. It feels like a milestone event as it’s every 5 years from now on…
Today (it’s past midnight here) I’m “stageing” and taking photos of DC1’s flat that’s about to be rented out. The net amount we get in rent won’t cover their new place but at least they’re earning now.

Deebee90 · 22/01/2025 23:50

I’ve not been well for a few weeks and have left things. But I’ve had a toothache the last few days. So tomorrow I’ve booked an emergency dental appointment even though im petrified of the dentist. I also have 2 parcels I need to return. Need to pick up energy from somewhere.

ThinkingAboutMyLifeChoices · 22/01/2025 23:55

Dog walk at 7am
Prepare a lamb stew for the slow cooker
Get a ring valued at the jewellers
Pick up a Vinted parcel
Small food shop
Pile of ironing
Finish off making an upcycled denim jacket for a 5 year old (she liked mine so much that I made a mini version 🤣)

Sgtmajormummy · 22/01/2025 23:55

OP, I think you might have a “can’t see the wood for the trees” problem.
Painting a room would be so far down my list of jobs as to be invisible!
Clean bathroom, kitchen and peaceful bedroom would be top.

isitmeamithedrama · 23/01/2025 01:50

I need to get caught up with washing...2 loads
Phone the dr yet again to try and get an appointment
Hoover / dust / general tidy
Clean the bathrooms
Make my dinner
Visit my partner
All before I have to start work. 1400-0200. I'm not sure how I'm fitting it all in to be honest.

JandamiHash · 23/01/2025 01:52

Work. Supposed to be going to the tip with crap I’ve had in the car for 5 days but I’d rather have an extra 10 minutes in bed TBH.
