And we've even got expressions of support for Nick Griffin now. 🤮

That Hitler - wasn't all bad was he ?

bombastix · 11/01/2025 14:56

Yes but isn't it predictable?

I dislike all the faux naif "I'm a second generation immigrant myself and think it's gone too far".

What BS. I do not think the far right are interested in "good immigrants". They are interested in white might. There are some people on MN who imagine that they will be accepted if they are not White British. That just means they haven't been paying attention or don't remember what real racist parties look like. Delusional stuff

Evenstar · 11/01/2025 15:02

I saw an advert on Facebook for Disney cruises yesterday, it featured a Muslim family, the comments were disgusting. It’s only going to get worse.

SerendipityJane · 11/01/2025 15:06

Not really. They despise white trash just as much as immigrants - their mission is merely themselves. Referring to my last post, the Nazis never gave a fuck about the average German. Which average Germans came to realise too late.

If you support Reform (to take an example) and you think Nigel Farage gives a rats arse about you, then you are a deluded fool and are buying a bridge. And what's more, you are being fooled twice, so deserve all the contempt those of use who have brain cells will heap upon you.

One of the benefits of the internet it it's immediate connection to wisdom and succour. I have finally been able to source a quote my late DM often used in life - which I never thought to question. After she passed I realised I couldn't source it - until I was able to ask in the right circles. And I can understand why it's odd as my DM was the least religious person in the known world. Yet this was something she had tucked away. And whilst I am equally areligious, I pray we don't find it gaining currency:

But if you still this call refuse,
And all his wond'rous love abuse,
Soon will He sadly from you turn,
Your bitter pray'r for pardon spurn.
"Too late! too late!" will be the cry:
"Jesus of Nazareth has passed by."
"Too late! too late!" will be the cry:

Yes, I am practising my rhetoric to go head to head with the best AI can throw at us. I'm gonna Turing test the hell of it.

See the thing is, at some point countries like Saudi Arabia are going to experience internal pressure from their own religious leaders to deal with this US-sponsored attack on their faith. And any ties the US has with Israel may not necessarily translate well.

bombastix · 11/01/2025 15:13

I don't think far right people are much interested in doing much else than exploiting those who are deprived to gain power, but they will spend all their time trying to hoover up votes from disgruntled white British people. All of it is the same old same old, with a few delusional people who imagine because their parents arrived here from Commonwealth countries that there will be some understanding of their contribution. I think absolutely not. They will be despised like everyone else who is not for white might.

You left out "fucking stupid" before "disgruntled". Is your keyboard OK ?

PickAChew · 11/01/2025 15:27

As well as the overt far right shit stirrers, we've had a suspicious influx of I voted Labour but... posters.

BIossomtoes · 11/01/2025 15:31

That’s been going on for a while. I don’t believe a word of it. In the last 24 hours Alexandra and I have both been accused of being closet Tories. 😂

DuncinToffee · 11/01/2025 15:31

They popped up the day after the Labour win Grin

Fucking hell at a link Blossom just posted

Yet another thread has popped up. Brand new poster, faux concern/shock etc. etc. It is disgusting.

DuncinToffee · 11/01/2025 15:40

I spotted that one too

I am having a cup of tea and the last of our Christmas biscuits trying to warm my feet after a walk.

It seems someone has decided Shamima Begum needs to be returned to the UK. Farage has (naturellement) picked up the UK end of the megaphone.

That'll be an interesting clash. Especially here on MN where the subject is very Marmite.

Presumably ITV will be making a drama about it to set the UK opinion dial ?

I did check with MN and it is a name changed poster.

bombastix · 11/01/2025 15:42

We have spent a stupid of money ensuring that she can't. I don't think she's even a British citizen now!

This was hilarious on Twitter last night. Trump seemingly has decided we need to take her back. So Farage has about turned. I think it would be fair to say that this hasn’t gone down well with all the Reform voters.

bombastix · 11/01/2025 15:42

Neither is Elon Musk.

However, "the US" has decided they want all the people in Syria who aren't Syrian to be repatriated. So that means the UK has to take her back.

Folk here will know that it's a mere sideshow distraction intended to generate even more friction for the democratically elected government of the UK and "the US". It's a natural development from the UK proving itself not only stupid enough to vote for Brexit, but then vote for Boris Johnson to deliver it. It's not like we have much credibility as a nation left anyway.

The only good thing here is the world is a big place and - almost axiomatically - someone with ADHD gets bored quickly. I fear the dark forces in "the US" much less than I would fear a force of sweetness and light that had devoted itself to improving our lives.

Once again, knowing "stuff" does help communicate ...

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Yes, but they can (and are) be(ing) treated with the contempt they deserve. What they gonna do ? Vote Green ?

I saw that Blossom, honestly, I've been really busy over the last few days, so have been skim reading mostly and posting occasionally. I've been so confused because posters are all over the place- their views are changing minute by minute, and the hyperbole is off the scale.

Clearly, someone is invested heavily in Yaxley, in rl, I've been berated for questioning his version of events. He's a super smart choir boy who's been set up by the state and is a political prisoner. He's only punched a policeman because they punched him first, and set up the edl to look after the poor soldiers.

This bull shit is being touted in threads, along with so many lies and mumsnet is allowing the posts to stand. I was told I could challenge robustly on the threads, but who has the energy or capacity for that? All you can hope is that there are people lurking who are not being taken in by the lies, and unsubstantiated claims.

SerendipityJane · 11/01/2025 16:11

Just remember he's a means to an end. Also remember what happens to such people when their utility is exhausted.

I've reported two seemingly brand new posters, one yesterday and one today and said I don't think they're genuine given the inflammatory stuff they're posting. The one yesterday had her posts to me deleted as personal attacks.

Yes i think i saw some of those... there are sone very crazy people on here atm.

One thought we could just fly in, drop off said failed asylum seeker/criminal and then fly out.... he was very serious.

The Nick Griffin stuff is madness.

SerendipityJane · 11/01/2025 16:13

Anyone on LinkedIn ? That's slowly turning a rather fetching shade of "Facebook Brown" as Ball and Farrow would name a gross pots of shit they ordered by accident.

One of them has now started a thread about Turkish barbers. 🙄

SerendipityJane · 11/01/2025 17:18

Stephen Yaxley Lennon ... hmmm ... I wonder if they will compose a drinking song after him ?

The most effective way to fight ignorance is with knowledge. Either knowledge you already have, or that you acquire. Because you know your opponents won't. Which is why you have this rinse-and-repeat cycle where no new knowledge is exchanged (and therefore a marker for bot-led "discussion").

I have spent longer than my working life delving into the issues around machine learning.

Just seen it, MN really has a been a cesspit the last week or so especially makes me feel so depressed & then I get daft thoughts that it’s the general consensus & people are really believing what they type I couldn’t sleep last night as it kept whirring around in my head, very silly of me I know.
