I can’t see him without thinking of the “shaved Afghan” reference. It’s so apt, he’s sadly under endowed with brains - a bit like a red setter.

MaybeNotBob · 06/01/2025 18:43

Here we go. This must be who Elmo Muskrat wants to take over from Fartage!

Which group of total fools is responsible for Chris Philp managing to get re-elected.

I was just coming to posts about Tate ‘running for PM’. 2025 is wild. We’re only 6 days in <sigh>

RafaistheKingofClay · 06/01/2025 18:55

Although I might now want an election. Watching Tate, Musk, Farage and what’s left of the Tory party fighting like rats in a sack over a really tiny section of the population might be quite fun. My money is on Farage as the only one with enough sense to realise going full Nazi is going to be difficult in the UK.

(Sorry for the long link)

This is a superb piece of writing and analysis by Stephen Bush in which he takes apart Tory opportunism and pandering to Elon Musk over the grooming gangs and compares it to Farage’s consistent red line on Tommy Robinson.

Gah, realising quite how far behind I am on the madness of the news at the moment.
But just wanted to thank Duncin for this article - really interesting and some of what I had missed into context. It's analysis of the Conservative/Badenoch position is particularly helpful - makes Philp etc look all the more ridiculous.

But Bush's commentary on Farage also caught my attention. Have to admit that I couldn't remember why Farage left UKIP, I assumed it had outlived its usefulness to him. But a quick google shows that Farage left when Gerald Batten appointed SYL as an advisor. So fair play, as Bush says Farage has been consistent and knows his base well enough.

Red setters are likeable.

Very true. A poor analogy although they’re mad as a box of frogs.

We're lacking an eyeroll reaction.

He is really losing it. Latest tweet says something about UK police having figer guns, whilst US has real guns. Or something.

Meanwhile. Badenoch is busy misinterpreting Starmer's speech on Twitter and drawing even more attention to what he said about her (because we all know who he meant).

The next PMQs will be interesting..

It will be interesting to see if Badenoch actually does PMQs this week or if she'll wriggle out of it and throw some other sucker under the bus.

😂

There is also the small problem that I don’t think he can set foot in the country without being arrested.

Is he Stephen Yaxley Lennon ?

They do seem to have things in common, like arrest warrants. Elon’s new political party could end up made entirely of people behind bars.

Possibly this one is still outstanding. I believe the Romanians are know allowing them out of their house and Romania know which should make things a bit easier. I wouldn’t like to suggest that his supporters will be thick and racist but I’m guessing the sex trafficking & sexual aggression charges won’t be an issue as long as he’s fighting the grooming gangs.

Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate deny all the allegations against them.

Andrew Tate and brother Tristan can be extradited to UK, Romanian court rules - BBC News

The Tate brothers can be sent back to the UK after separate proceedings in Romania end, a judge ruled.

I'm glad things are improving with new meds pointy

Wait until Badenoch finds out who was the Women and Equalities minister from Oct 22 and could have put the recommendations in place.

Edited

She'll implode 😂

The reason Farage is so dangerous is because he can communicate well and knows exactly where to plonk himself.

Plus he's actually shown he's not afraid to sit where he believes he should be and is like Teflon to all the bullshit flying around.

I cannot abide his politics but I have a weird respect for him 👀

I know I've already paid cat tax for this thread - but I just mentioned Elon Musk in passing to Karl.

Why do you love Lewis Goodall so much. I don’t understand

MaybeNotBob · 06/01/2025 23:16

Why do you always do this? Someone posts something and you immediately accuse them - and everyone else- of, apparently, loving them?

Is it really too hard to understand that you might read something and find it interesting enough to think that others might want to read it?

You really are a peculiar person.

Why don't you read what he wrote and comment on that?
