If you had lost 115lbs, would you...

Choose a breast lift or a tummytuck?

I've saved a third of the cost of ONE procedure and it will take me years to save the rest so both is absolutely not an option.
I feel bad enough spending the money on one procedure, I could never justify 2.

Breasts are extremely tubular and saggy, stomach is extremely saggy and lots of excess skin.

They both upset me equally.

Tummy tuck. I’ve lost 200lbs and my stomach is like a burst balloon 😂. My boobs sounds like yours but good underwear deals with that

Congratulations on your weightloss!

CornishPorsche · 01/01/2025 20:19

Tummy tuck.

I could handle needing a decent bra, but there's nothing similar to wear for your stomach.

I'm 3 stone down, and going underwear shopping tomorrow as it happens! Good luck to you OP.

NewMe2024 · 01/01/2025 20:21

Congratulations OP. I’d say tummy tuck for the same reason others have given - a good bra could help with the boobs. Well done on the massive change you’ve made to your overall health though.

Onlyvisiting · 01/01/2025 20:22

Tummy tuck. But only if really severe loose skin.
Boobs can be sorted with good underwear, loose tummy skin is harder to hide and more importantly more likely to cause physical issues with soreness etc if it is bad enough to get sweat in the folds or it hang over your pubic area

OhcantthInkofaname · 01/01/2025 20:25

Tummy tuck.

Ginkypig · 01/01/2025 20:25

If I was going to get one then tummy tuck. No competition!

When we are talking being dressed bras do a huge amount of work for breasts but almost nothing works for the stomach!

it doesn’t help with situations where you are naked obviously but even then I’d personally rather have low sagging boobs than a stomach. (Have both and I know which one I hate more)

to be honest though it doesn’t matter what any of us think what maters is what you feel looking at yourself. If you are going to do it choose the thing that makes your life harder and causes the most negative thoughts. By that I mean if one was sorted which one would then leave you feeling worse if that was it forever

Gliblet · 01/01/2025 20:29

Tummy tuck - I've lost nearly 6 stone over the last couple of years and still look fantastic in the right bra but have an apron belly I hate, especially as I'm now fit enough to enjoy doing exercise but have to select my clothes very carefully to stop my stomach flapping about and giving me a round of applause as I run 🙄 Sports or generally very well made supportive are a lot easier to find than support knickers that you can move properly in.

Wibblypif · 01/01/2025 20:45

The thing is I look great in clothes, so neither is a daily 'dressed ' issue.

I feel happy with myself dressed

Undressed I feel gross. Equally with both issues.

I have shapewear and good bras so both are only an issue during intimacy (for me, not him!)
I won't be naked because my tit's are under my armpits and my belly hangs to the side.

Part of me even thinks if I had a pair or pert boobs in my eyeline I might not even look further down to my belly

I'm petite up top, so at 58 have no stretch marks and breasts are were they were in teens. I've had to change my diet for health reasons recently and have lost weight - my stomach isn't perfect, but I know I have to be careful I don't waste away, so turning the clock back, I'd have opted to not have an intervention.

Sorry but what is the point in this comment?

You don't have any of these issues and you dont need surgical intervention and just wanted to say that??

Well done? Good for you?

Im the same as you OP, lost 140lbs, when dressed you wouldnt know at all

I could save up for one operation but to be honest its the medical intervention that puts me off, but I put on some tights recently for the first time in decades and my legs are all slim and then theres a massive barrel above them!! Looked comical, not in a good way!

Probably agree with others that you can manage with a bra/bra combination but theres nothing for a stomach

I think I would lose about 10 inches off my stomach if I had one. What about the muffin top area, does it fix that too?

LoveSandbanks · 01/01/2025 21:49

I’m 56 and have lost about 30lb and my teeny tiny boobs STILL fall into my armpits. Boobs droop as we get older. In your shoes I think I’d still go for the tuck. Then you can feel confident in a bikini at least

Shushquite · 01/01/2025 21:56

Tummy tuck because a good bra can hide saggy breast.

I would never wear a bikini! Ever!
I don't go abroad anyways.

Definately a tummy tuck. That would help drop an extra trouser size I think. Clothes would fit better on a defined waist

A decent bra would easily help your top area

Doggymummar · 01/01/2025 21:59

I'll let you know when I get there! 60 lb down with the same to go. Well done on your weight loss

Shushquite · 01/01/2025 22:01

Maybe a trip to a bra shop like bravissimo would help? Get measured and see if there are any bra available that can help you decide. There are other shops available, but that is the shop I brought my last bra from and I personally love them.

Fair enough! Some of it will depend on things like preferred positions when getting intimate - if you like to be on top then a lot of loose belly skin might be physically more in the way than saggy boobs for example.

Also worth thinking about sensation - if you have breast reconstruction then I think I've heard/seen a lot of women say they lose some sensitivity so if breast play/touching tends to add a lot to your foreplay then that's worth bearing in mind.

HellofromJohnCraven · 01/01/2025 22:04

Boob's for me. In fact I'm going to have a reduction and uplift later in the year. Mine are the bane of my life. They look ridiculous. I've lost 30% of my body weight and they are still exactly the feckin same!
I'm dedicating the first 6 months of the year to Toning up first.

Coffeetostart · 01/01/2025 22:12

Tummy tuck, absolutely.

And congratulations on your weight loss, an achievement to be so pleased about!

CornishPorsche · 01/01/2025 22:15

I'm still a size 20, down from a 24 in two months with a long way to go... but my boobs have fallen into my armpits for years. I can no longer get worked up about it.

Snapncrackle · 01/01/2025 22:18

I’ve had both uplift / implants and tummy tuck
a few years ago abroad
cost about 6k as it was multiple operations so cheaper

midnights92 · 01/01/2025 22:24

OP, assume since you haven't mentioned that you aren't planning any future pregnancies? If so, some of the benefit from the tummy tuck is going to be lost.

And again, assume you've asked but if not, speak to a couple of clinics and see if they can quote for doing the two together. It's a longer operation but all the costs of the theatre time, anaesthetics, support staff and aftercare etc are doubled up by doing them separately so I would expect most places to offer a lower price for the two together, even if that's not listed in any of their pricing info.

iamnotalemon · 01/01/2025 22:35

I lost about 90lbs and I would definitely get a tummy tuck personally. My boobs are like spaniels ears but my stomach bothers me more.

theduchessofspork · 01/01/2025 22:39

Tummy I think

Boobs you can help with a nice bra - that and a tighter tummy is going to make you look much better in the (near) nip. You could get some sleeping bras or bralets so you don’t have to engage with the droop outside of the shower.
