If you had lost 115lbs, would you...

Choose a breast lift or a tummytuck?

I've saved a third of the cost of ONE procedure and it will take me years to save the rest so both is absolutely not an option.
I feel bad enough spending the money on one procedure, I could never justify 2.

Breasts are extremely tubular and saggy, stomach is extremely saggy and lots of excess skin.

They both upset me equally.

And congratulations! That’s a mega achievement

ChippedIkeaFurniture · 01/01/2025 22:44

Tummy definitely and then save hard for the boobs.

purplespink · 01/01/2025 22:56

I would pick the tummy tuck 100%. There are bras and other things like that but there's nothing really for tummy's (I guess Spanx or tights but it's not the same).

Mathsbabe · 02/01/2025 12:22

Lost 80 lbs so far and beginning to think tummy tuck.

Wibblypif · 02/01/2025 12:31

I considered going abroad, to Nordesthetics Clinic in Lithuania, they are very highly rated and thwy have an orthopedic department that the NHS uses, they fly people over there for hip replacements so they must be trustworthy?!

But I'm just too scared

I could get boobs and tummy tuck for thousands less than one procedure here :(

Op have you asked about getting it done on the NHS?

I know it would be a long wait but it will also be a long wait to save the money for it.

They don't do that kind of stuff anymore. And rightly so.
It's cosmetic.
I'm not having any physical issues and it's not affecting me mentally to the point I'm a danger to myself so why should the NHS cover the bill?

There are people on waiting lists for tumour removals, I'm not going to take up an operating room to 'define my waist more' when people are dying waiting for serious treatments

I’ve had both done and honestly I can’t choose.

writingsonthewall · 02/01/2025 12:46

If it's mainly during intimacy I'd still go for the tummy tuck as you can wear sexy bras or like slip type things still and hide your boobs.

Oh yes i would def do that. Just do tons and tons of research and get recommendations and sure it would be fine. There are plenty of reputable places abroad

Wibblypif · 02/01/2025 12:50

You're going to think I'm daft but I can't fly.
I have an absolutely insane phobia of planes. The surgery abroad doesn't scare me. I've followed the company for years and done a lot of research and would do it tomorrow if I had a teleportation machine, but I just can't get on a plane to go there 🤣

If you do proper research ( not Instagram / Facebook )
then having surgery abroad is not a problem
Ive had several surgeries abroad with no issues

ToBeOrNotToBee · 02/01/2025 12:53

Boobs for me, but that's because I loved my old youthful tits.

If you haven't already, have a look at this clinic. I've heard nothing but positive things https://www.nordesthetics.com/en/

Probably controversial…
Would it be an option to take out a loan, or increase your mortgage to get it all done.
I only say this because I think whatever you have done you wont fully appreciate without the other.

@Wibblypif ferry/train? I’m sure there’s a reasonable alternative. Congrats on your weight loss

NewYearNewDietAgain · 02/01/2025 13:17

I lost 6 stone. I went for a tummy tuck and bought some new bras! Best thing I ever did.

I'm low income and renting, not an option unfortunately. I probably would get a loan if I was able, but wouldn't be approved for such a large amount.

I lost 8 stone and chose boobs. Thankfully tummy was not too bad, but my boobs were like old empty bags. I am happy with my decision.

D0llydaydreamz · 02/01/2025 13:21

Congratulatuons!!! Tummy tuck, defo. I am saving for one myself. Can I ask are you going abroad for it or will you pay more to stay in the UK. You don't have to answer if that's personal

HomeworkMonitor · 02/01/2025 13:24

Watching

Got it.
I’d probably get the tummy tuck then. A nice bra can work wonders.

Wegovypictures · 02/01/2025 13:30

You can get to Lithuania without flying.

Though honestly, if you are low income and renting, and can never afford both, I wouldn't bother. I don't think you'll ever be happy naked with just one of they both bother you this much. And there are probably better uses for the money given your situation. I say this as someone with horrible empty sagging boobs after big weight loss!

I'm comfortable in my financial situation, my rent is low and I don't have alot of expenses like cars etc as I cannot drive. I don't do holidays etc
I could save for both but I absolutely cannot justify spending that amount of money on myself. I just can't morally.

I'm not struggling, I just live within my means and feel it's almost grotesque to spent nearly 20k on cosmetic surgery (the UK cost)

OP posts:
Wibblypif · 02/01/2025 13:42

Also I think travelling by coach or train would be fine on the way out but I wouldn't want to do 24/48 hours on a coach or train after major surgery!

OP posts:
ChessorBuckaroo · 02/01/2025 14:07

First off well done. 8 stone 3lbs, that's whole person. Amazing OP.

And not wanting a long (slow) travel straight after surgery, could you not stay in Kaunas for a few days?
