My DD9 woke at 3am she was (politely) told to go back to sleep 😂 at 3.30am it became clear no chance so gave her her tablet until DS4 woke at 5.30am and we came downstairs to see if Santa had been

Oh wow that’s early!! Once DS woke up at half 2 but luckily went back to sleep!! Your DD will be shattered today!

my DS (age 12) was up at half 6 but played with his new Christmas Lego he got yesterday until half 8 when DD woke up and we all went downstairs

Bryonyberries · 25/12/2024 13:35

No little ones here so we all got up late although it is slightly bittersweet.

Think the earliest we ever got woken was around 5.30.

DS5 - 7:45, came and cuddled with me in bed
DS3 - 8. My DH took to boys down to open their gift from Santa (umbrellas… they were extremely excited believe it or not!). Now they’re running around playing with the cats and singing “I am a gummy bear”
DD7 - still fast asleep at 8:35. She came with me to Midnight Mass last night, which was magical, but given she went to bed 3 hours past her usual bedtime, I encouraged her not to get up before 9 so that she’s able to enjoy today

DS 7 years old was up at 3am kept going from his room to bathroom and back to his room I think he was trying to see if we would stir or move I just lay there hoping he would go back to sleep he didn't so before 6am I went to his room and got him and then went and woke DD 5 years old up at 6am,
Now I am shattered struggling to stay awake.

Lovelysummerdays · 25/12/2024 13:40

Woke up about nine. Youngest is 10 so I think the craziness of early morning Christmas is behind us.

LoveSandbanks · 25/12/2024 13:40

About 1130. I had to wake one up at 10 to 12. They are young adults now but they’ve never been very early wakers on Christmas Day, we’ve been lucky

DeathMetalMum · 25/12/2024 13:53

Dd2 who is 11 claims she was awake reading from 2am. I heard her and dd1 discussing their stockings a few minutes before 5am. We dozed for a bit l, and finally went downstairs around 6.20. Despite mentioning yesterday 7am was a reasonable time.

Dp and I are both shattered, dp worked both day, morning (4am start) and night (11pm finish) shifts in the run up to Christmas and is still recovering.

IDontLoveTheWayYouLie · 25/12/2024 13:54

5 o'clock. One of them woke up not long after midnight (was still bringing presents down) and was told not a chance😂

partygarden · 25/12/2024 14:13

Ds6 woke me up at 4.30 🥰😂

Everlygreen · 25/12/2024 14:17

My 9yo woke at the usual time of 7. He usually goes straight to the living room but hung around my room until I went in first. We all know Santa is a load of rubbish, but we all pretend for the sake of pretending Grin. He couldn't even look at me without holding back laughter when he asked if we left the milk and cookies out last night. He figured it out at around 6yo and we all just pretend wink wink mostly for our 2yo.

purplespink · 25/12/2024 14:41

4am😭

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 25/12/2024 14:42

13yo Dts. 3am! Tbf I hardly heard them and they went back to sleep. Up at 7.

MumChp · 25/12/2024 14:43

Don't know. They showed at 7 as agreed the night before.

TokyoSushi · 25/12/2024 14:43

6:45am by 11 & 13yr olds, not too terrible!

Lemanoir · 25/12/2024 14:43

I allowed a 6am wakeup this morning but will be requesting a 9am lie in tomorrow….

WorkCleanRepeat · 25/12/2024 14:45

7.30am (I woke a few hours before them)

StrawberryPavlova · 25/12/2024 15:47

I've got a 12 year old and a 5 year old. Both have always been very early risers, 365 days a year. We agreed yesterday that I didn't want to be woken a minute before 6:30am. Therefore 6:30am on the dot, they appeared in my bedroom.

JM88Jen · 25/12/2024 15:47

4.50am 😴😴😴😴

zaffa · 25/12/2024 15:50

She woke up at ten, then I moved her out of my bed into her own and she woke up again at 2 and came back to my bed. Then she woke up at four and didn't want to go back to sleep but eventually fell asleep after five.
We got up after 8.
I am the most tired but luckily my wonderful MIL has done all the cooking today so I can lie on the sofa 💤💤💤

Deadbeatex · 25/12/2024 16:06

Feeling a bit better I'm not alone with having early risers! DS had a nap but DD is still going strong 💪🏻 I've sorted all the rubbish, recycling, built all the toys and everything that needs a battery has got one so I'm exhausted but I feel like I'm winning lol

8am thank god

NerrSnerr · 25/12/2024 16:08

I'm very happy to report my 7and 10 year olds were up at 8am. A very nice Christmas treat as it's the longest lie in I have had in a while.

MargaretThursday · 25/12/2024 16:15

To give you all hope.

My youngest woke at around 10am and got up and had breakfast. He's 17yo.
We opened presents when all were awake at about 12:30.

Happiness is having a good night's sleep.

Mashroom · 25/12/2024 16:22

11 year old woke us at six (I think he had his alarm set)

Minihero · 25/12/2024 16:25

DD8 woke at 1am lol! Explained it was still the middle of the night so she went back to bed. Then her and DD6 came up at around 8/8:30 which is the best we've had in years!
