My DD9 woke at 3am she was (politely) told to go back to sleep 😂 at 3.30am it became clear no chance so gave her her tablet until DS4 woke at 5.30am and we came downstairs to see if Santa had been

8 month old baby - 4:50
5 year old - I woke him up at 7:30am. He never sleeps in and I had ants in my pants!

RandomMess · 25/12/2024 16:26

4.30, she's 21 😂

Hihihello193 · 25/12/2024 16:27

5:40am. 4yr old twins. That's pretty normal timing for them though 😅😴 Also my husband snored ALL night, because we're not in our normal bed and he had one too many brandies. Roll on boxing day zzzzzz

we woken kids at 10am! (18,16 &13).
No-one was allowed to get up till 6am at Christmas when they were little.

itsgettingweird · 25/12/2024 16:39

9am - he's 20!

Usually up at 4am as he's a swimmer!

So often doesn't get up early in the 2 days a week he doesn't have to. Surprised it transferred to Christmas Day!

dontforgetme · 25/12/2024 16:41

Ds was awake at 7.30 and we woke dd up at 7.45. Not bad at all! Ds is now seriously flagging though after shouting downstairs until 10.30pm last night!

Allmarbleslost · 25/12/2024 16:44

The 14 year old woke up at 7.30 and proceeded to wake the 16 year old and all hell broke loose. The 16 yo is not a morning person, even at Christmas.

Babbahabba · 25/12/2024 20:25

I woke up 8 year old DD at 7.50am. She's not an early riser and loves a lie in.

WingBingo · 25/12/2024 20:32

DS’ 9 & 11 have to be woken up, which I did at 8. I was excited!

it’s been a while since they work early, those days are behind us. I have to get them out of bed most days.

Crunchyqueen · 25/12/2024 20:33

Oooh making me feel slightly better. 5:36 here!!! Earliest yet!

spanktastic · 25/12/2024 20:35

9 year old and 16 year old, both got up at 8.20, which was perfect as I had an hour to myself before the excitement.

SueSuddio · 25/12/2024 20:36

2 year old had sickness bug poor thing so we're up and down from 12.30am, finally he insisted on being awake at 4.30am so kept in bed with cartoons on phone til 5.30am.

He did go back to sleep a couple hours later.

misspositivepants · 25/12/2024 20:39

3am 😭😭😭

5 year old went back to sleep without encouragement but 7 year old tried his best to wake up the 5 year old, he finally went back to sleep at 5:30 so we all didn’t get up until 9 which had a knock on effect on putting the turkey in 🤣🤣.

im ready for bed after a day of extended family, alas everyone still going strong .

ShiftySquirrel · 25/12/2024 20:39

Earliest ever was 2am 😱.
This year they (teens) didn't wake us up, but apparently got up at 4am to check the stockings had arrived then went back to sleep until 8am and opened them after that!

SquigglePigs · 25/12/2024 20:42

My 6 yr old was awake at 6.30 but that's pretty normal for her so happy with that!

JustPloddingOnBy · 25/12/2024 20:43

11yr old woke at 0630 so we opened their stocking in bed, then went back to sleep until 0830 when they went and woke the 15yr old and 17yr old.

mindutopia · 25/12/2024 20:43

2am, 3:30am, 5:30am and 6am (2 different dc, the bloody 12 year old being the worst offender). I only went to bed at 1am after trying to sort everything out for today. I have cancer and going through treatment at the moment which leaves me exhausted. I got 1.5 hours of sleep last night and had to take myself back to bed for 4 hours this afternoon, which sounds great, but means I missed all the actual fun not work bits of Christmas.

Addon · 25/12/2024 20:45

DD 12 was 8.45. DS 19 was rudely awoken about 30 seconds later when DD jumped on him.

PrincessPeache · 25/12/2024 20:45

I woke DS(8) up at 7am 😂 I wanted to get up first and turn the Christmas lights on, put some music on the Alexa and have a cup of tea ready for me and DP….usually my rattling around the kitchen wakes him up so I left that til last and he didn’t wake up so I went in to him because I was too excited!

UpUpUpU · 25/12/2024 20:45

His usual time of about 7:15 surprisingly! Even then we had a snuggle in my bed and didn’t come down until about 7:45. He is 6 and I was very grateful not to be woken at the arse crack of dawn!

memememe · 25/12/2024 20:48

Ds13 woke me at 5.45 but went back to sleep in my bed until 7.15, we woke ds16 at 7.30 then opened presents at 8.30 when adult kids arrived at ours.

Next time give her a book with a book lamp and she’ll doze off again lol

ChipsnGraveee · 25/12/2024 20:52

On the dot of 6am, which was the agreed time - so they had obviously been waiting together to come into our room (were we put all the stockings)! 11 & 8 yrs old.

I wish she would but once she's up she's up and rarely goes back to sleep, thankfully it's not usually as early as 3am though! There wasn't a hope this morning, I was woken every 20 to 30 mins for her to "check" if it was time yet 🤦🏼‍♀️ she knew fine rightly it wasn't but was chancing her arm lol

Letting DS nap has bitten me in the ass but I've left him tucked in with his new tonies. DD I've agreed can sleep in my bed as long as she now stays there so I can watch Gavin and Stacey in peace!
