Perhaps, as it is the time of the season, thread regulars might set a time and date for us all to raise a glass to the end of the year? We might keep chat less political at that time and celebrate?

It is as close to a pub we will get this side of 2025

I had a full day orchestra rehearsal tomorrow which is cancelled. Have photographed the house and garden for proof of damage if needed. Fingers crossed it’s not as bad as they are suggesting.

My lovely SIL who lives in Wales is due to travel to London tomorrow, for her flight to Australia (where her daughters, their husbands and her grandchildren live). Fingers crossed she'll make it!

I did get the alert but it was at 1900 and not at 1845. Have you checked your phone settings? It's under Safety and Emergency.

Amber warning here - Cornwall, we''ve already had a large tree down and power out but came back on quickly, supposed to be heading through over night.... might be early by the sound of the wind and rain.

I got my alert as DH was reversing the car, frightened the life out of us both. We were on our way to the theatre and alerts were going off all through the show so not everyone s phone got them at the same time. Had to walk back to the car alongside the marina and it was pretty rough.

We got the alert too. Scared the life out of us! It is not too bad here at the moment.
