Brit facing 60 years for smuggling cocaine

Not sure if this has been done already but having just watched the interview on This Morning I am baffled as to how she would agree to take the suitcase (ended up being two suitcases and one of the main reasons she was pulled aside on arrival in the US) in the first place. Even more odd, why did she accept a free holiday from two random guys she had met only two weeks prior? Interesting turn that she ended up having to flying via the US home instead of her planned flight Cancun - Uk and what a difference that will make in terms of potential punishment. There has to be more to this story

She's lying through her teeth. Course she knew what she was doing. She knew fine well what was in the cases. She's pretending she's a victim now she's been caught

She deserves all she gets

loropianalover · 28/11/2024 23:46

I think she thinks she’s going to become some celeb/influencer figure off the back of this. She seems to not fully grasp that the law applies to her and that you can’t just say ‘sorry I’m just a silly girl, see my dad is sticking up for me’ and be sent home with no charges. She knew what she was doing, she just thinks she’s above the consequences.

EvilsElsasPetSnowman · 29/11/2024 00:10

I have no sympathy for people who smuggle drugs, and support the harsh sentencing. Shes a total liar and a bad one at that

PullTheBricksDown · 29/11/2024 00:13

Yeah, very convincing 🙄

Moveoverdarlin · 29/11/2024 00:17

I watched it too. There isn’t more to this story. She’s as guilty as hell in my opinion. Basically she said ‘Met two blokes in Portugal, they said they’d pay me to go to Mexico and stay there for a week and bring back £250,000 in cash.’ She agreed!!! She saw nothing wrong with this!! She’s admitting to doing this. How thick can you be???

She is also refusing to name the men that paid her, which is obviously not going down well with the police / courts.

Onthesideofthespiders · 29/11/2024 00:18

Her and her dad could at least get their story straight. He says she did it because they got her phone and threatened her and her family. She says she did it as they gave her a free holiday and asked for a favour, and they just seemed like normal guys with nothing funny going on. She knew what she was doing and deserves to be locked up.

Thevelvelletes · 29/11/2024 00:18

The free holiday scenario has been played out a few times over the decades.
I seem to remember one possibly 90s two young women met a dodger in a Birmingham nightclub, free holiday and caught with a load of gear.
There's nothing for nothing in life.

Couldn’t agree more. The interview was laughable. It’s like she couldn’t be arsed to come up with a cover story. She may need to brush up on her technique, she wasn’t remotely convincing.

username8348 · 29/11/2024 00:24

You have to wonder if she has anything wrong because the whole scenario is utterly ridiculous.

I know drug smuggling is common in abusive relationships where women are groomed by 'boyfriends' but in this case she just doesn't seem very bright.

coxesorangepippin · 29/11/2024 01:35

Does anyone have a link?

thrifty24 · 29/11/2024 01:40

All above is my thinking exactly. I was a bit confused how the story jumped from the smuggling to her now in a safe house and being diagnosed with bipolar. Not sure why her dad expects the foreign office to step in. I imagine the relevant British consulate will be involved but honestly I don't think it's looking good for her considering the US have such tight stance on drugs and the fact they have been brought in from Mexico instead of interstate will be an embarrassment

I'm struggling to believe that's the same person in those two photos!

She definitely knew what she was doing, I absolutely refuse to believe anyone is truly that thick to not to have any alarm bells ringing at the situation she described.

Caption on Picture 2: British beautician Kimberly Hall looks dishevelled after being arrested in Chicago

Mate, that's some dishevelment! If that's her own face in Picture 1, she must be one hell of a beautician. She'll make a fortune in the nick 😂

Saschka · 29/11/2024 01:54

Goodness, that’s quite a “before and after” picture 😱

RafaistheKingofClay · 29/11/2024 01:58

Bloody hell. And I don’t mean the story.

wrped · 29/11/2024 02:09

shes a perfect example of why filters should be banned

men should be able to sue for fraud 😂

Sorry but 🤣

She can't seem to grasp that if she was just being an idiot and not realising what she was signing up for, she is still guilty of smuggling a huge amount of drugs. The whole ignorance is no excuse thing....

I would imagine there will be a very long jail sentence ahead of her.

I do find it strange that female drug smugglers always seem to wing their way on to daytime TV with the mascara running down their face look. If it was a man, the media wouldn't entertain them.

Fireworknight · 29/11/2024 02:35

What gets me, is that she thought it would be ok to bring cash in! She must gave a helluva shock when it was cocaine (and a lot if cicaine).

‘The only thing she’s guilty of is being stupid and naive’ was a great line.

Well, yes, that and the huge amount of cocaine she smuggled into the US.

I doubt she was shocked. She knew exactly what she was doing.

Thevelvelletes · 29/11/2024 02:57

I wonder if a bigger load went through and she was sacrificed..the 60 million will be street value not wholesale cost

oatmilk4breakfast · 29/11/2024 03:44

She looks terrified.

LunaTheCat · 29/11/2024 04:10

She actually looks better in 2nd photo.. all the fillers and false eyelashes are an awful look.
Shes either incredibly naive or new exactly what she was doing.
