I dunno but she is gorgeous 🤩🤩

Cakeonthefloor · 23/11/2024 23:56

Does to me but I am no expert.

Beyondbeliefsometimes · 23/11/2024 23:56

I would say so.

She looks like one, the ears look a little big but it could just be the angle.

Radionowhere · 23/11/2024 23:57

Yes, but also no expert.

Whiteblanket · 24/11/2024 00:00

Yes but honestly if you’re even in doubt then trust your gut.

do your due diligence. Speaking from bitter experience (pre internet) there are so many scammers out there it’s better to just walk away until you’re sure about what you’re doing.

Evenstar · 24/11/2024 00:01

I think so, the ears are always huge in proportion on young ones. I have had two of my own and other people in my family owned them.

Is the dog yours and do you have doubts about the breeder?

Littlemissgobby · 24/11/2024 00:01

I never get why folks are obsessed with pure breeds unless you want to breed. If they have kc papers etc then you will know if you are happy with the home where she comes from and the other puppies look happy whats the issue unless they are marketing her as one and charging exterminate price.

It's not mine it's my daughters. Some things she said seems a bit off but she's not going to listen to me regardless. Hopefully I'm wrong

People just like different types of dogs some like cross dogs some like pure bred it does not mean they want to breed

Again no expert, but I'd say pure GSD. We have the pups training at work (criminal justice role) often and she looks just like them. They grow into their ears and paws in time! She's very very cute in any case x

@Beautifulkitty Can't vets do a DNA check, Is your daughter concerned about a particular thing regarding the puppy? There is a pet section on here, including the "doghouse" you might get more knowledge there

neilyoungismyhero · 24/11/2024 00:16

Absolutely and gorgeous to boot. Best dogs in the world! Miss mine beyond belief.

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 24/11/2024 00:18

Looks GSD why are you questioning? If if it doesn't feel right walk away

Scutterbug · 24/11/2024 00:20

Looks like it to me. They are all ears and paws at that age!

TheSilentSister · 24/11/2024 00:21

5 GSD's in the family over the years and I can quite honestly say that it looks 100% GSD to me. The big floppy ears and large paws are so typical. The colouring is spot on. I simply can't see a hint of any other breed.

No not really. I was more wondering really. Dd got her very cheap which I feel a bit suspicious about and strange things were said to.

If uour dd has her already do a dog dna then I think abut 75 pounds

BloodandGlitter · 24/11/2024 00:42

Pure bred doesn't always equal well-bred, unfortunately. She does look pure bred but I'm guessing with the cheap price there were no health checks done on the parents.

Moon30 · 24/11/2024 00:49

Looks full breed to me, looks just like one we had when I was younger.

We did a wisdom panel with our spaniel, so you could go that route if you really want to know. It's not 100% accurate but we was happy with out results and they made sense as we knew he didn't look full cocker

Evenstar · 24/11/2024 12:02

One of mine was cheap, it was a well known breeder but she was the last of the litter and slightly smaller, but there were no problems. What was it that was said that concerned you?

Evenstar · 24/11/2024 12:04

Just to add mine had parents who had all the relevant health checks. If she didn’t see that paperwork I would be concerned.

SugarandSpiceandAllThingsNaice · 24/11/2024 12:05

Yes that is a German Shepherd.

We got our German shepherd for free :)
Wasn’t from a commercial breeder.
