Snowing here in West Yorkshire, big fluffy flakes, due to snow all night.

It's settling nicely!! Very heavy at the moment, I'm midway between Nottingham & Derby

😱😱😱

Please keep it. My boiler packed up today and I don't need any snow to add to my woes 😭

Heavy sleety rain in the midlands. It can foxtrot oscar. I need to go into the office tomorrow so I might be cracking out the big winter dog walking coat.

Edited

I might co-opt that expression sometime! Excellent! 😄

East Mids - halfway between Notts and Derby and it’s coming down heavy and already settling.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 18/11/2024 20:47

That seems unusual weather/temps for this early in the season, no?

JolieFilleCommentCaVa · 18/11/2024 20:47

Cue the schools closing, traffic accidents, road closures, train delays, working from
home, supermarket panic buying because the UK is embarrassingly incompetent and unprepared to deal with snow.

Bah humbug.

Xtraincome · 18/11/2024 20:49

Woohoo! So jealous of you all. Enjoy it for me in Northamptonshire ❄️

Well we have had the warmest autumn on record. We didn’t even wear coats on bonfire night! Now we are plunging into winter prematurely so preparing now. I haven’t worn a coat yet 😂 Yes it’s very cold for November and it’s coming from Greenland apparently.

StandingSideBySide · 18/11/2024 20:51

That’s made me smile OP
Can we have some pictures if it settles.

Feeling like a Victorian Christmas.

FoxRedPuppy · 18/11/2024 20:51

It’s now snowing here. I love snow. I’m always a bit suspicious of people that don’t like snow. Like people who don’t like dogs

Sia8899 · 18/11/2024 19:16

Can you send some down to the south east? Just raining here 😭

Noooo!

RhondasShittyBirds · 18/11/2024 20:53

Absolutely pissing it down here in Devon. We never get any snow 😞

Isn’t it wonderful! Wouldn’t change it for the world. My cleaner was amazed last year that people were panic buying bread and asked why when the supermarket was packed to the rafters with other options, I was panic buying wine myself so couldn’t answer! 😂

I’m supposed to be getting a train from London to Leeds tomorrow morning… anyone want a wager on how far I’ll get?

Kings Cross 🥴

TheTecknician · 18/11/2024 20:55

It is now snowing here.

FuckOffGerms · 18/11/2024 20:27

Little flakes in my part of West Yorkshire too.

The kids are so excited for a snow day tomorrow.. I’m less excited if I have to juggle work with entertaining them!

Juggling snowballs would be fun!!

I'm on the edge of the warning area, but have only rain

Nothing in Leeds yet, but waiting with anticipation 😀

In York, app says it's snowing but it's not

North West Midlands here. No snow yet, but Alexa informs me there is an 85% of snow tomorrow in my local market town. (Tomorrow meaning anytime after midnight!) Windchill is minus 2 C now, and is due to be minus 7C overnight (I am rural/out in the fields!) ❄❄❄

Minihero · 18/11/2024 19:45

Very rainy here in London. Would love a bit of snow!

So would I as it would not last long, but to see it tumbling down in London would be lovely.

I looove an excuse to stay home - snow day! ❄️👏🥳
Hot chocolate, movies and a cozy blanket!!! 😄

We're same here in Vancouver, though. Don't get a lot of snow and when we do it's usually wet, so roads turn to ice fast. Most people just have 'all seasons" tires on their vehicles which are awful on slick roads. Pair that with inexperience driving in it and it's a disaster.

The percentages in forecasts are about how much of the area covered by the weather station will get that weather. Rather than a percentage chance of that weather.

Panic buying wine...... 🍷???

We are probably friends in real life! 😆

mitogoshigg · 18/11/2024 20:58

Raining here, too far south for snow

MovingDDay · 18/11/2024 20:59

So very disappointed I came on to see some snow and not a single picture! Yoi better all have fill this with pictures tomorrow morning!

ItsAllAboutTheBass7 · 18/11/2024 20:59

Lots in the Staffordshire Moorlands! Dreading the drive to work in the morning. Husband thinks I'm dramatic 😂
