Snowing here in West Yorkshire, big fluffy flakes, due to snow all night.

I looked out at 3am it was dinging down.
Was looking out the window because of an idiot neighbour but that's another story

I have worked through the night (self-employed) and just glanced out the window to see a white garden. I'd assumed it was more rain so got the surprise of my life.

Now waiting impatiently for my teens to wake up so we can go outside and play! 😅

Whereabouts in NS are you? I’m just over border in S Cheshire, but due to go to Chatsworth in a Motorhome tomorrow, thinking Stoke/Leek maybe the better route than Buxton!

I grew up in Barnsley, with lots of relatives in Penistone, and went to school in Sheffield, in 70s. Lots of snow days when the non-Sheffield kids were sent home early, but interestingly the trains were always ok to get back to Barnsley! Luckily I lived walking distance from town centre

I tried to come across Woodhead after seeing my mum on her 90th birthday but it was starting to snow and I had to divert to M1.

Well, to be more accurate big flakes of white rain are falling. It is very wet and not sticking .

Mr Blackbird is eating an apple, I usually leave the small apples for the birds.

DH has just left to take DS to school, snow is very deep in some areas. Typically none of the roads in the area have been gritted despite us having a week's notice that this snow was coming. I'm waiting for DD to finish her breakfast then we're going to go and build a snowman

National Crisis averted. The rain has given up trying to be Instagram ready and has reverted to being rain. The Government can breathe, the country will survive another day as London remains open for business. Thank you weather gods.

Halifax here. There’s not as much as I was expecting! All schools except one are open. Don’t think it will be sticking around.

I have just woken up and it is snowing, very light, but there is a slight dusting, i'm going to be cold going to work today🥶 This is the view out of my bedroom window.
