Sherlock clue - I typed that earlier - just realised I've typed in the wrong shade of that colour!

SharpOpalNewt · 15/11/2024 15:51

Got them all now, thanks to this thread.

I'd have still been here Googling in a hundred years time to get the quartet one! The colours aren't even right, the yellow is much too yellow.

ClaraSais · 15/11/2024 17:24

I’m so excited lol

I'm really pleased I got them all - I used to in the past, but last year I only got about a third of them (even with MN's helpful help) so it's great to feel I'm getting back on form.

I've still got the vampire/Dracula and the camera one to go...any clues, please?

What classic book is linked too/inspired by the place name on him

"Argh!" Is all I can say as I get frustrated at my remaining ones. Feels tough this year.

Me too. I’ve currently fly a pitiful 8/20 lol

Pliudev · 15/11/2024 19:13

You have all made me feel so stupid. I'm going to lie down.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 15/11/2024 19:13

I'm clearly missing very obvious things because some of my missing ones are things people have not been asking about.

I'm missing the map, the travel books and the cocktails.

The map I can't really tell what's going on. Joys of shitty vision and small screens (DH smugly got the Oceania one because I thought it was a car exhaust) so no idea

The cocktails I've tried every New York related cocktail name I can think of and looked through 2024 bestseller lists and can't find anything with a cocktail name.

The travel books. Beach related? There seems to be different UK/GB countries represented so some sort of travel around the country? With beaches?

CaptainMyCaptain · 15/11/2024 19:14

Not the cocktail name the place name.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 15/11/2024 19:17

Thank you, got the cocktail!

CaptainMyCaptain · 15/11/2024 19:17

If you look at one of those maps on a board on a day out somewhere what does the pointer say?

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 15/11/2024 19:19

FFS. I could have sworn I had tried the answer to the beach one already and got it wrong, hence the overthinking!

Just the map left.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 15/11/2024 19:27

I'm done. DD is doing it now. So hard not to help!

narrucO1 · 15/11/2024 19:30

This is the slowest I've ever been, I've only got half of them. Can anyone give me a clue to the old soldier, the barbershop quartet and the melting cheese table please ?

InMySpareTime · 15/11/2024 19:37

@narrucO1 plenty of clues to those upthread

OP posts:
EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 15/11/2024 19:49

@narrucO1

It's not cheese

PureBoggin · 15/11/2024 19:50

Why can I not get the girls in cowboy hats. I feel like I know exactly what it is and have tried every spelling and spacing variation but IT IS NOT IT. How can it not be it. Aaaaagggg

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 15/11/2024 19:51

@PureBoggin

Have you put The in front ?

Soldier is part of a children's rhyme (second word) listing the professions of potential husbands - a novel by Le Carre....

Barbershop quartet - the colours of the waistcoats are the same as neapolitan ice cream and the clue references a series from the same city.

The melting cheese is not cheese but another dairy product often used in baking

ClaraSais · 15/11/2024 21:14

I’ve got all of them apart from the last three, ugh!

comedy books table
woman with strong arm poster
Jazz music bookshelf

gamesnight · 15/11/2024 21:15

Thanks for the hints. I've just 3 to get now
Barbershop guys
Mixologist
