Soldier - think of a children's rhyme to see who you will marry where soldier is the second word (profession) of 4 (le Carre)

Bee man - think of a pop star called something bees do (a 2023 novel that won lots of awards with the name of the pop star in)

Quartet - a group of novels - where doe the multi coloured ice cream come from?

Ghost - is the second word - what is the ghost doing and how would you write that as a stage direction

Baking - a baking ingredient is running/melting all over the table - its yellow and melted so what ingredient is it. (Hint its a fat and its not olive oil)

Finished - took me ages because I thought the clock face was orange in colour - must be my screen - and I thought the little girl was holding a goose!

It took me ages to get going this year, but a lot of them I was overthinking. When I put down the simplist answers they were right (bookshop, music books, cow girls, cookery books).
The workshop one took me ages, and I only read the book last month!!! I don't think it's a very logical clue at all.

Remember it's very fussy. If there's an 'a' or a 'the' in a title it needs to be included.

The angel one is also a Netflix series.

I'm completely stuck on the clock. I've tried Black Hands, Gold Face - neither of which are books AFAIK! What am I missing???
