Ant McPartlin and in particular his wife lying about her age. She's always reported as being 46. She was born in 1976.

My 4 year old whenever we need to go through a door, or I need to open car door etc.

She is always in the way. Doesn’t seem to grasp the fact I can’t open the door as she’s in the way. But she wants to go first. 🙄

When people don't turn off the keypad noises on their phone and all you can hear is click click. Similarly, when people think it's acceptable to watch/listen to programmes on their phone /iPad without headphones in public spaces.

WonderingWanda · 09/11/2024 18:39

People that get too close to me in supermarket queues. I seem to attract them, often old people nudging me with their trolly. I have been known to shove them back, or turn around and ask if I'm in their way.

People that aren't overtaking but are in an overtaking lane doing the same speed as the inside lane. Think this one is justified and not irrational though, actually same for my first one.

I'm irrationally annoyed when my dh breaths in his sleep.

People that say or write "we was" or "need gone". It shouldn't bother me but it drives me mad.

Shop assistants that don't acknowledge you or say thank you when you pay.

People on their phones in the cinema or during a play.

When dh leaves bits in the kitchen sink and when both he and ds can't find something which is right there.

saltysandysea · 09/11/2024 18:41

Cyclists who ring their bike bell in order to get you off the path so they can charge past.

MrBiscuits24 · 09/11/2024 18:42

People who play videos or music on their mobile phones on public transport.

Jifmicroliquid · 09/11/2024 18:44

The radio advert for Monzo with where the girl says “I can’t hold my arm up here for much longer though”. The three people talking are the most irritating people and the whole advert drives me mad.

When you open a sliced loaf of bread and there is a big hole in the middle of each slice running through the loaf, infuriating.

Don’t buy bagels, they’ll tip you right over the edge.
😉😁😁.

The overuse of ‘stunning’, everything is stunning. Every bloody thing is stunning.

Petunias.

EmpressaurusDelleGatte · 09/11/2024 19:00

People who do up the top button on polo shirts. I don’t know why it looks weird, it just does. And I’m fully aware that this is silly & irrational!

Attelina · 09/11/2024 19:02

Walking behind someone who doesn't pick their feet up.

Someone reading a magazine and licking their fingers to turn a page.

People who share clickbait posts of disabled people or animals with the caption 'It's my birthday today ...'

The amount of time one of my neighbours spends handwashes their cars. It has literally no impact on me at all but it massively irritates me thinking of all the useful things he could be doing instead! Some days I leave home and come back 2 or 3 times doing various different things and he's still there cleaning and polishing AngryGrin

Omg yes. I have a neighbour that does the same. I go past muttering about 'amazing there's any fucking paint left on it'. It doesn't affect me at all, literally nothing to do with me. (except when he still did it in -0 weather last year and turned the road into an ice rink).

AlmostCutMyHairToday · 09/11/2024 19:22

People standing too close to the baggage carousel so you can't see the damn bags going round.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 09/11/2024 19:24

People who have put their address in ebay all in lower case

DisplayPurposesOnly · 09/11/2024 19:26

My mum messaging me to remind me to send her husband a birthday card. I'm 57, have a calendar, and have not forgotten in the 20 years they've been together.

Morven7 · 09/11/2024 19:28

Choosing your reaction is a superpower. Couldn't get excited about any of this tbh.

FeelingSad2024 · 09/11/2024 19:30

Endless pop ups on websites that come up one after the other- will you accept cookies? Uh oh looks like you're shopping outside the UK, please select your location! Would you like 10% off first order, enter your email now.

Gives me rage and by the time I've cleared them all I usually can't be arsed to look a the website any more

Websites that when you click on something, say an item of clothing, and then hit the back button, it refreshes to the top of the page, rather than where you were half way down the page. Hate that.

Mum, dad, 3 kids, grandparents etc lined up next to the carousel... just send one or two people!

Yes this, and postcode all lower case with no space between the two halves.

Everyone on our road backs into their driveway. Except my neighbour, who drives in forwards, so his car is the only one facing the opposite way. It upsets my sense of symmetry 😂

RandomMess · 09/11/2024 18:18

Other cars Acknowledging me letting them in, nope please concentrate on driving safely.

I've stopped letting cars out of side roads when I'm driving slowly in traffic.
Too many times they're not looking for a pull out gap but head down checking their phone. I sit there wondering why they're not pulling out and then realise. So no more.

SmugglersHaunt · 09/11/2024 19:38

I need to stop getting so annoyed by stupid things people do and acting before I think. Two weeks ago a man (drunk, possible issues) on the seat in front of me on the packed top deck of the bus lit a big cigar and started waving it around. People were outraged etc. / tutting / saying “put it out” etc. He was telling everyone to F off and all the rest.

Before I knew what I’d done, I leaned forward, plucked it from between his fingers and threw it out of the bus window. He stood up and swung at me but luckily missed, then he started a fight with someone else 🤷 and was bundled off the bus. I had a lucky escape

Pedallleur · 09/11/2024 19:41

Onboarding. Reaching out. Phones held aloft at concerts. Last one just infuriating. Blokes outside the office talking about football. Every day seemingly every chance they get. It's the bollox they read on the Internet and just regurgitate like it's special inside info.
The traffic queue where the traffic moves but 1 car is just stationary because the driver is looking at a phone. Drivers trying to steer a car whilst holding a phone. USB c connectors that break req a new or 2nd hand phone purchase.

People staring at the departure board because doing that will magically make your flight appear. The whole family jockeying around the carousel and letting children climb on it (Manchester).
