Sainsburys taste the difference or M&S gastro lasagne

Cook. Home style cooking and ingredients.

Ooh I'd forgotten the Costco lasagne - 'tis gorgeous. All this talk of lasagne has made me crave it and I am going to buy a Cook vegetarian one this morning from Booths.

@doodleschnoodle they definitely do lasagne for one person! I keep meaning to try other Cook dishes but the lasagne is so delicious that whenever I go in there intending to choose something else I still come out with the lasagne 😂

Oooh!!!! I will delve through that freezer next time I'm in!

boatyardblues · 05/11/2024 09:45

The Cook moussaka is excellent too. Off topic I know, but teen DS chooses it over their lasagne.

Charlie bighams vegetarian one. Meat eating DH absolutely loves it too. It's like a really rich lentil ragu.

I used to love this as well but recipe seems to have changed. Tastes too sweet now.

bananaboats · 05/11/2024 09:50

I haven't seen it mentioned yet but I like the Asda Bistro range one, it's much preferred over the m&s one in our house! Lidl is good too.

The m&s best one weighs a tonne which puts me off. I like the m&s regular lasagna.

Edited

They have the same ingredients and in my opinion taste the same

Well, we've just had the Cook Vegetarian lasagne and I can confirm it is delicious. There is also a portion leftover for my lunch tomorrow - yay! It is expensive at £19.95 for 4 portions so it should be good.

doodleschnoodle · 06/11/2024 09:47

I've picked up a Cook lasagne as today is as my Cook meal day. I'm excited!

That is not bad! £5 for a lasagne

Cook

With Cook it's worth signing up for their emails and generally keeping an eye out for discounts, sometimes you can get 10/20% off.
