That it's warm for November?

Just that really. In the South East it's still hovering around 14-16 degrees. Supposed to be 18 degrees next Monday.

Usually it's really cold on bonfire night weekend, with a need for hats etc, nothing like that at the moment.

Are we just having an unseasonably warm spell?

I cut the grass today, only cut it a week ago but it had really grown because it's so mild, feels not quite right.

Also fed up with getting really overheated when I go out walking, looking forward to more normal temperatures from that point of view for sure.

mondaytosunday · 04/11/2024 16:20

Yes it's global warming. Haven't had my heat on yet - in fact my back door is open right now (I live in London).

Ok let’s change CAN to WILL shall we. This is what has been happening in the US.

and a British farmer’s view

nothing to see here, no definitely not 🥴

Quoting tat out the fucking Guardian?

You may as well have cited some nonsense from the Daily Fail as well.

😂🤦‍♂️

As said, climate change my ass.

SerendipityJane · 04/11/2024 17:17

Climate change manifests as series of incremental shifts in weather.

Unless you are really dim (and I would never accuse anyone on this thread of that) it's a fact of the earths history that climate has changed.

People are of course free to question what role mankind might be playing in the natural course of the climate changing if they like. But that does seem somewhat like arguing over why the house caught fire, rather than taking action to prevent it burning down. And nobody could be that stupid.

NeverFastAlwaysFurious · 04/11/2024 18:46

@HelplessSoul are you saying climate change isn't a problem?

Show me where I said that please?

Why did you have children if you're so worried about climate change? 🤦‍♀️

Weirdo. I'm not worried.

HelplessSoul · 04/11/2024 19:47

Show me where I said that please?

The posts I read you’ve said “climate change my arse” and “can not will” which is why my question is asking IF that is what you’re saying.

HarkALark · 04/11/2024 20:00

@NeverFastAlwaysFurious Oh don't mind @HelplessSoul, they deny there's an issue with climate change whilst using semantics to argue they've not denied it.

The one thing that cheers me up on this issue is that when we all die on this burning, flooded plain, the naysayers will drown and burn along with us, screaming the whole while about cloud seeding and the lies of the mainstream media. 😀

😁 Only on MN can someone remark on warm weather and it descend into a bun fight in five pages.

😂

I've seen them goading on another thread tonight so I won't pay too much mind.

On MN and at my family gatherings 🙃

Great so we all die.

But which is it?

Flooded or burning? You cant have a world that burns if its flooded and vice versa. Curious to know what your crystal ball says...I'll dress appropriately for either eventuality.

HarkALark · 05/11/2024 09:52

"I'll dress appropriately for either eventuality".

I'd stick to zips if I were you, you don't sound like you'd be able to manage buttons or laces. 🙂
