Marmite Snacks

Where have all the marmite snacks gone?
I love the Graze bags, the cashews, the ridged crisps, the puffs, all the marmite goodness but I can't find them anywhere lately and I have such a craving.
They sell the graze and cashews on amazon at £18 bulk so I've got them in my basket but I'm concerned for the future of marmite based snacks 😭😭😭
I don't like actual marmite though, I don't think. Open to any tips. I don't like toast which makes it fun

I do buy the marmite oatcakes but they aren't really strong enough IMO, I wish they'd add more. I love the ricecakes, they are nice with soft cheese, or peanut butter, or avocado (or peanut butter topped with avocado)

I enjoy them with butter & marmite spread on them 😁

ExquisiteIyDecorated · 29/10/2024 18:46

Re the oatcakes, I always eat them with a smear of butter and a bit of strong cheddar but I have just found the block of cheddar with marmite in at M&S Grin.

@PolkadotsAndMoonbeams yes, those ones, they were so crunchy and tasty.

We do cheese and marmite straws too and just remembered another thing which is a reasonable alternative to the flatbreads.

Warburtons thins split open and spread with marmite and a sprinkling of grated parmesan or similar. Cut into fingers and bake till crispy.

I wonder if I could adapt the pin wheel recipe to use filo pastry ? Maybe layer marmite , cheese, pastry and cut it into squares .
I have a pack up my frezzer which is never going to get used for anything else.

My mum loves marmite. I usually get a few jars for her Christmas gifts! I used to be able to get jars of cheesy marmite from the South African shop near me but they stopped importing it. If anyone is taking a little trip there soon.......

Checkenberger · 30/10/2024 21:29

I went to waitrose at a garden centre and there were zero marmite goodies. I had a click and collect at argos so I went into the town which I avoid like the plague (think Caleb from Clarksons farm 😅) and I visited all the shops and nothing. Not a single marmite snack to be had 😭😭😭

Love marmite 😋

ginislife · 30/10/2024 21:54

Crumpets toasted until crisp spread with butter then marmite and either Dairylea or Philadelphia

buffyspikefaith · 30/10/2024 21:57

We used to make marmite and cheese toasties at uni, might have to have one of those soon as I've not had one in years! Molten lava levels of hot

InThePinkScarf · 30/10/2024 22:02

I loved the marmite butter. Also love the pinwheels and the mini cheeses

moggerhanger · 30/10/2024 22:04

I'm still sad that you can't buy the Marmite breakfast biscuits any more. They were lovely.

Davros · 30/10/2024 22:27

I'm bereft to discover recently that Truffle Marmite has been discontinued. I only found it in Sainsbury's, which I hardly ever go to, but it was worth a trip. I'm saving it for a Sunday treat only as I'm down to my last jar

Namaqua · 30/10/2024 22:34

Ok not a shop bought thing but mushrooms cooked in butter and marmite is amazeballs on toast

Namaqua · 30/10/2024 22:35

And don't forget twiglets, that's marmite isn't it?

Is it a garden centre that also has a Lakeland in it? The Waitrose bit is a complete waste of space IMO, I have never once been able to find anything I want there.

Namaqua · 30/10/2024 22:45

And marmite roast potatoes! Yum

lashy · 30/10/2024 23:14

M&S for Marmite infused cheese (the type you bake in the oven in a terracotta dish) and blocks of Marmite infused cheddar.

Asda for Marmite Graze, Marmite cashews, Marmite rice crackers and Marmite peanut butter (Sainsbury and Tesco also do the latter).

Asda or Sainsbury for Nairn's Marmite oatcakes.

B&M for multipack bags of Marmite puff crisps and Marmite ridge crisps.

That's all I can think off at the moment.

This is in the North East/ Durham area.

I still can't believe the Marmite peanut butter has been discontinued 😟

I've had to start making my own.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 31/03/2025 07:35

Morrisons also have the marmite oatcakes. But not Tesco.

Husband makes them just parboiled and tossed in warmed oil and marmite mixed together then into the airfryer - careful you don’t burn them though as it’s hard to tell with them coated

Sounds like you may be a bit deficient in B vits, OP! My fave were the marmite crackers for cheese that were shaped like a cauldron, great to snack on dry and got me through first trimesters of my pregnancies, haven’t seen them for ages now you mention it…

I loved those too. The shape was a marmite jar rather than a cauldron!

roses2 · 01/04/2025 21:40

I made these marmite bread rolls with cheddar a few weeks ago. So delicious warm from the oven!

I froze half the dough batch and they kept really well.
