Marmite Snacks

Where have all the marmite snacks gone?
I love the Graze bags, the cashews, the ridged crisps, the puffs, all the marmite goodness but I can't find them anywhere lately and I have such a craving.
They sell the graze and cashews on amazon at £18 bulk so I've got them in my basket but I'm concerned for the future of marmite based snacks 😭😭😭
I don't like actual marmite though, I don't think. Open to any tips. I don't like toast which makes it fun

Funnily enough my daughter gave me a packet of marmite crisps the other day, they were delicious. They have the graze in my local shop but I’m still craving the M&S marmite cream cheese which suddenly vanished. I’ve never been able to get the big squeezy marmite since it all disappeared during the pandemic so it does feel as though all the marmite things aren’t completely back to normal.

Checkenberger · 28/10/2024 22:31

That reminds me, M&S did Marmite pinwheels a while back, I'll check there and see if they are still a thing. I feel like an actual crackhead, it's all I think about at the minute 😅
Is your local shop a chain that I could maybe try or i don't suppose you are North East England? We're quite rural so not the best place to start with 😔

Aldi do an almonds and cashew nuts version. Quite a lot of almonds and very few cashews but under £2 from memory. There’s also some Cains cheese and marmite around and Sainsbury’s do marmite crisps in a multi pack. Missing the cream
cheese also but M&S still use it in one of their sandwiches!!

I bought some of the M&S marmite pinwheels last week. Deeeeeeelicious!

Checkenberger · 28/10/2024 22:35

What are the aldi almond and cashews called please? Sounds daft but I've never seen them in my local, are they labelled actual marmite or their own version? I'll be there first thing 😆

Close contest between these and the caesar salad dip for the best food from there, i wonder what they taste like together 🤤

They posted on Facebook the other day to say the squeezy one is coming back!! 👍🏼😀

Sounds like you may be a bit deficient in B vits, OP! My fave were the marmite crackers for cheese that were shaped like a cauldron, great to snack on dry and got me through first trimesters of my pregnancies, haven’t seen them for ages now you mention it…

dotdotdotdash · 28/10/2024 22:41

I still can't believe the Marmite peanut butter has been discontinued 😟

I got the marmite pin wheels there a few days ago so they're still available. Also see mini snacking marmite cheese in there too

Elodie9 · 28/10/2024 22:43

Loved the marmite peanut butter too.
Nairns cheese and marmite oatcakes are tasty .
Lots of marmite love it or hate it type hampers on etsy.

Scutterbug · 28/10/2024 22:43

Oh do they still do the marmite cheeses? Came with about 6 in a pack, individual portions. Loved them and had forgotten all about them!

JaneIves · 28/10/2024 22:45

I think the Aldi nuts are 'mighty' nuts - distinctive brown and yellow labelling.

😮😟😟😟. Surely not! That's terrible - I had no idea.

I think the marmite puffs are the most addictive, delicious things I've ever tasted. I'm just hoping they're not a limited edition.

These are the Aldi ones

Also, those of you missing the marmite peanut butter I’m thinking it might be easy to create at home. Perhaps with smooth as this is a bit easier to blend? Maybe add some soft butter or bit of olive oil if needed.(obviously it’s a disgrace it’s not available)

decades ago I used to have peanut butter and marmite sandwiches at college before it was a thing

Checkenberger · 28/10/2024 22:50

Marmite coma incoming 😴 🤗

We are missing thr marmite flatbreads in the black box that vanished a few months ago, and marmite cheese slices from M&S that I haven't seen for years. I much prefer marmite and peanut butter spread on top of one another to the mixed one though.

Checkenberger · 28/10/2024 22:55

I might have to revisit the idea of marmite in a jar. I could stick a bit on a cheeseboard. Crumpets I don't mind. Bake my own pinwheels and bread, thick layer of salty irish butter. Mix some marmite with the butter. Dear God, Stunning

I remember the marmite butter that M&S sold a couple of years ago. But I discovered their new pots of marmite baking cheese a couple of weeks ago.

Nomorecoconutboosts · 28/10/2024 23:03

I’m hungry now.
marmite is so versatile
it works for every meal
its one of the few things I managed when working nights
Marmite on toast before a shift if you’re not sure if it’s breakfast or dinner. Ditto at end of shift
and ‘lunch’ in the middle…

Cookerhood · 28/10/2024 23:06

I have a snack for you all.
Drain a can of chick peas. Roast (I did them in the air fryer) for 10 mins at 180. Stir in a teaspoonful of marmite to coat the chick peas. Roast for another 10 minutes.
Thank me later

buffyspikefaith · 28/10/2024 23:36

I saved this the other day

I still mourn Marmite Twiglets.
