Marmite Snacks

Where have all the marmite snacks gone?
I love the Graze bags, the cashews, the ridged crisps, the puffs, all the marmite goodness but I can't find them anywhere lately and I have such a craving.
They sell the graze and cashews on amazon at £18 bulk so I've got them in my basket but I'm concerned for the future of marmite based snacks 😭😭😭
I don't like actual marmite though, I don't think. Open to any tips. I don't like toast which makes it fun

Sainsburys! I got some of the nairns marmite cheese crackers, the marmite cheese puffs yesterday- they seemed to have the walkers crisps in, the PB and some other bits.

Massive Marmite rice cakes are on ocado and I can eat a pack in one sitting.

If not - regular rice cakes with Philadelphia and marmite works well!

I'm excited to hear re squeezy marmite - my youngest has marmite bagels for breakfast and I've missed it.

Marmite stirred into cottage cheese before I became a vegan. Yum. Waitrose had the crisps last week.

Ay? Twiglets are marmite flavour aren't they? I mean, they are "yeast extract" but we all know that's just non branded marmite.

I've had to do some googling and apparently the recipe was changed. To me they don't taste Marmitey at all and I'm not the only one.

I love those with egg mayo on which my manager has declared "the most disgusting thing ever" Grin

Ah right. I didn't realise that. I haven't bought them for years.

A long time ago I used to make marmite & cheese twists. Not exactly haute cuisine but very moreish. Roll out ready made puff pastry, spread marmite over the top, then sprinkle with grated Cheddar. Cut into long strips about 1" across, lay them on a baking tray & turn one end of each strip a few times to twist it. Bake & eat. Greasy & gorgeous (but enough about me 😁).

CameraCoffeeCrochet · 29/10/2024 12:16

I've heard about marmite roast potatoes but never made them before.

Also, just remembered Marmite peanut butter was in Co-op if anyone's looking.

ExquisiteIyDecorated · 29/10/2024 12:25

I do buy the marmite oatcakes but they aren't really strong enough IMO, I wish they'd add more. I love the ricecakes, they are nice with soft cheese, or peanut butter, or avocado (or peanut butter topped with avocado)

Elodie9 · 29/10/2024 15:21

Just been in Waitrose, nice display of marmite goodies.

Borntobeamum · 29/10/2024 15:38

Noooooooo!!!!

I looked in Tesco yesterday as we are scraping the bottom of the jar. I usually buy it on Amazon but it’s not there either.

I think I’ll have to make my own. How hard can it be? Add marmite a little at a time til it tastes right. Yes?

Growlybear83 · 29/10/2024 15:46

I went on a tour this morning to see if any peanut butter was left near me. I went to a Tesco, Sainsbury, B&M, and a branch of the Co-op and there was none to be had anywhere 😟😟😟

Iwontlethtesungodownonme · 29/10/2024 15:50

I love marmite crisps. I get them from Morrisons.
I am so tempted now by marmite roast potatoes. Never gave that a thought before.

Mix the soft cheese with extra marmite Wink

Allthecatseverywhereallatonce · 29/10/2024 16:17

Waitrose had a whole marmite snack selection when I was there a few days ago, they are still around but maybe not so popular. I love marmite by the way. I especially loved the marmite with peanut butter.

Checkenberger · 28/10/2024 22:31

That reminds me, M&S did Marmite pinwheels a while back, I'll check there and see if they are still a thing. I feel like an actual crackhead, it's all I think about at the minute 😅
Is your local shop a chain that I could maybe try or i don't suppose you are North East England? We're quite rural so not the best place to start with 😔

its a co-op and I’m not NE. I like the pinwheels too.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 29/10/2024 18:03

I was using I stuff in the fridge for the kids lunch, and knocked up some little pinwheels of deliciousness:

I packet of ready rolled puff pastry.
Unroll, spread with Marmite.
Sprinkle with grated cheese
Roll it up, slice it up, bake it

It's amazing

PinkTonic · 29/10/2024 18:07

I’ve caught up on the thread now and can see that quite frankly I’m an amateur! Very interested in the baking cheese from M&S although they have temporarily closed my nearest simply food so will have to go to town to review all the marmite snacking options. Also yay on the squeezy pack!

We are missing thr marmite flatbreads in the black box that vanished a few months ago, and marmite cheese slices from M&S that I haven't seen for years. I much prefer marmite and peanut butter spread on top of one another to the mixed one though.

The ones that were like long thin rectangles with baked cheese on? I loved those, and I'm so disappointed I haven't been able to get them recently.

The oatcakes are nice but taste oaty (obviously...) so aren't the same.

blueberrypie1999 · 29/10/2024 18:14

Sorry haven't read the full thread but the marmite rice cakes are nice.

Augustus40 · 29/10/2024 18:22

Twiglets are at our local Home Bargains (east mids).

SheilaFentiman · 29/10/2024 18:36

That marmite popcorn is glorious!
