Inverted / V bum

Chattenoire · 20/10/2024 13:22

Posting here for traffic. I just realised I have a V/ inverted bum. I have enough projection so it looks ok with clothes on, but in underwear it's a completely different story. Has anybody been able to fix it?

Lots of women have v bums , they are usually apple shaped .. not much you can do about except be your optimum weight then you'll just look slim

Neveranynamesleft · 20/10/2024 15:51

How have I managed in life without this information....

Futurethinking2026 · 20/10/2024 15:54

All I see in the those diagrams is woman wearing different pants and standing in different poses!

It's not about having a fat butt, it's the shape. Shape and size aren't the same thing.

Sorry I didn't mean you in particular, just other people seem to have a desire for it.

LifeofBrienne · 20/10/2024 15:56

All sounds like a load of arse to me. Is there some underground bunker somewhere where a secret committee work out what to make women paranoid about next?
”Right, big features across all magazines and social media: ‘Are you suffering the shame of bony or dimpled knees? Exercise and diet fixes tailored to YOU.’ That’ll do it. Then next season we’ll move to ankles.”

TheDowagerCountessofPembroke · 20/10/2024 15:56

I’m guessing my arse (not butt, I’m not American) is round, mainly because it’s fat.

I'm not apple shaped. I'm blessed to have a flat stomach, so I'm more of a curvier rectangle / slight hourglass

So this! I can make my bum at least 4 of those depending on the way I stand of what muscles I engage!

queenMab99 · 20/10/2024 16:06

I used to have a perfect bum, but it wasn't perfect for the 60s/70s, in those days a flat bum was required, so I wore my elastic panty girdle back to front so the 'fingertip panel' flattened my bum and not my tummy (which was flat anyway, in those days.)
I think what OP needs is a pair of padded knickers, and could probably get some from Temu! Otherwise just get a grip..........

Notasunnydayhere · 20/10/2024 16:10

I've no idea what a V bum is. You're welcome to borrow a leaf out of my book if you want - it's the page that says 'if you can't see it, it's not worth thinking about'.

Honestly OP, truly, we're all different shapes and sizes, all great in our own way.

StormingNorman · 20/10/2024 16:16

How do you turn a square door not a heart? Asking for a friend.

ThePoshUns · 20/10/2024 16:19

verycloakanddaggers · 20/10/2024 15:28

I'd rather it looked like a capital D rather than a P

I don't understand what this means. I don't know what a v bum is either.

Me too. Im completely baffled

PontiacFirebird · 20/10/2024 16:26

Well no one human has a bum like the round bum in the picture, not without implants or filters. It looks like a cartoon!
This is just another nonsense thing to make women obsess over to distract us from fighting the patriarchy.
OP, figuratively take your head out of your arse and think about something that matters.

Get counselling for your body dysmorphia.

Chattenoire · 20/10/2024 15:34

There!

There isn’t too much difference in any of these bums, just the shape drawn over them.

diddl · 20/10/2024 17:02

Which one is on trend atm?

I think I'm an inverted shelf-bet it's neither of those😂

Restaurantcritic · 20/10/2024 17:14

Good grief! We have to worry about this now too??? Can we just be fit and healthy instead of aspiring to unrealistic body shapes?

diddl · 20/10/2024 17:16

Well that's the thing isn't it?

We (imo) don't have to worry.

We can choose to or not.

CeeJay81 · 20/10/2024 17:18

I've got a big shelf bum but no boobs and hate it. None of us are happy. We all just have to accept, we all come in different shapes and sizes.

Gettingannoyednow · 20/10/2024 17:18

Rarely has the internalised misogyny on a thread been so palpable.

Tikttotk · 20/10/2024 17:18

Half those pics are AI.

If you don’t like your bum there’s, diet, excercise or cosmetic surgery. That’s it’s basically.

But I don’t think you should be worrying about AI bums

cryinglaughing · 20/10/2024 17:19

@Chattenoire what shape should we be aspiring to?

I have always had a muscular bottom, maybe like a shelf. Is that acceptable?

Ozanj · 20/10/2024 17:23

I have a wonky shelf bum. Honestly I don’t know how it stays upright

ISeriouslyDoubtIt · 20/10/2024 17:24

OP, you need to get some hobbies to fill your time with instead of worrying about what shape your arse is.

Konfuzzled · 20/10/2024 17:25

It sounds like some quiz from Cosmopolitan in the 90s "identify your bum shape in 5 easy questions".

Please don't worry about what letter shape the internet tells you your bum is. Enjoy your life, be kind to others and follow a healthy lifestyle. Be grateful for what you have. Don't focus on supposed flaws that social media and AI are trying to convince you you have.
