Booths Christmas book out. Happy ordering.

Was in the Ormskirk branch recently. Staff really friendly. Always enjoy a Booths esp when the sale stickers go on.

My parents are out your way and there isn't a lot of choice for them. Crap ASDA at Bilton, small Sainsburys in Hedon or small Tesco in Hornsea. They occasionally venture over to Beverley for Markses.

We have Bothams though 🤣

Got one today. My daughter said that some have ‘Golden Tickets’ inside - £200 in Booths vouchers, l think. Needless to say, I didn’t find one!

@PirateJim , yes they do the golden ticket thing every year.

I’m a bit bah humbug about the brochure tbh.

Piles and piles of them in store every year, people go crackers for them, often taking several, even if they’ve got no intention of buying anything because it’s so nice to look through.

I’d charge £5 and deduct £7.50 from a food order if I ruled the world to cut down on printing and paper wasted.

Ripon too. Surprised there's not one in Harrogate but who am I to question their judgement

Was in the media city one regularly. Can't believe it was a loss maker. Knew many of the staff to talk to.Co op took it over and Greggs moved in next door.

I only moved to Ripon a few months ago so I've never seen these until today when I nipped in to booths to buy some cheese. Are the free? I swerved them because they looked too fancy to be free

Yeah I was surprised it shut down it was always fairly busy when I was in there and their hot beef and horseradish sauce butties were a beautiful 😋

I'm also surprised the Media City one closed down. I used to pop in fairly often when DD did an activity nearby. Still I'm in the Lakes with my closet branch a 15 minute walk so I'll pick one up next time I'm there.

Yes they are free.

Looking at that book online, I’m imagining Edwin Booth as a stove-pipe-hatted Dickensian character, with a muffler and cheery smile, beckoning us all in to his cheery Christmas wonderland.

And I’m singing ‘Knutsford City Limits’ in my head.

I see there’s one in Penrith - only 68 miles and a 2 hour drive from my Dad’s in Northumberland. Perhaps I can go on holiday there by mistake 🤔

Ilkley is my local one, but I do have a soft spot for the Kirkby Lonsdale branch. Love Booths, especially at Christmas!

Seems they have made a tentative approach into Yorkshire but are much more at home in Lancashire
