I prefer salted. Trying to find a decent one is proving difficult. What do you guys like to use?

It has the least amount of additives. It's nice!

Another vote for President here!

AdoraBell · 12/09/2024 21:16

My favourite is the Duchy organic salted butter from Waitrose. I don’t go there often.

BigBoysDontCry · 12/09/2024 21:16

Kerrygold as its the only grass fed one I can find.

Accbabymom1994 · 12/09/2024 21:16

I think we should buy president as well it's famous

Humdrumdumb · 12/09/2024 21:17

Kerrygold as butter from grass fed cows has a number of health benefits.

I like the Aldi special selected West Country Butter with sea salt crystals.

Bs0u416d · 12/09/2024 21:33

What criteria are you seeking in your butter? What have you tried and failed with in the past?

I love the proper French butter with sea salt in it but I use President for 90% of my butter needs.

Loyal lurpak customer here. Still remember all those years ago eating a sample of lurpak butter spread onto a bit of baguette at sainsburys.. we went straight in and got our own tub.

My brain misread the title as "Butler Recommendations" & I thought we'd reached peak Mumsnet Grin

This:

Not cheap (though note this is for 500g rather than the normal 250g), but it is the real deal - good cream content.

parentingisstressful · 12/09/2024 21:58

Shirgar Salted Block Butter.

DoublePeonies · 12/09/2024 22:00

First question: white or yellow butter?

Personally, I much prefer yellow butter - and would take a supermarket value yellow butter over a premium white butter. Others will have different preference
