@user8800 I think I must live in the same region as you.

I’m currently thinking of my snack of choice. I might treat myself to a big bar of chocolate. I read my constituency usually declares about 12.15am, so will stay up until then and then decide.

I won't be home until 10.30 pm 😬

So atm, I'm planning to stay up til about 1am with ds and his chums, then a quick nappy nap, then up at 4/5am.

Unless things get VERY interesting 😁

I stayed up all night in 2017 - unintentionally - as it was such a shocking result. I'm sure I remember David Dimbleby saying "bloody hell" when the exit poll came in! (?)

Maybe it will be so riveting. I'll pull an all-nighter 🤔

Gin, you say? Hmmm. Would mead work?

user8800 · 02/07/2024 18:03

@vimto

Was it "cob" that gave me away? 😁

It is just classic!

Honestly, I didn't even bother reading it.

Pathetic.

So she isn't denying the racism and bigotry in Reform Ltd, just upset that someone has pointed it out.

Fair enough.

But surely that was part of Reform's plan. They wanted the media to vet their candidates. Did they think journalists were going to phone them, rather than broadcast their findings?

Yes I read some of that yesterday evening. 😔

Gin, you say? Hmmm. Would mead work?

Maybe in a more teabread-y, fruitcake-y cake?

It’s got much more heartbreaking this afternoon. I can’t believe this tough old bird has been in tears twice in two days.

I’m not cooking chips or fish fingers in the middle of the night. Smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches here.

You are very classy

Lazy more like. I’m buying them in M&S on Thursday morning. To hell with the expense!

Is he looking so pleased with himself because he managed to follow instructions and tap the card to pay?

Of course not. Someone else paid because he’d left his wallet at home.

Just caught up on the thread, I'm now in tears too.

It's a very powerful read.

RishisLeavingDo · 02/07/2024 18:51

Is this Sunak conceding defeat in his latest tweet?

Stop the supermajority. Vote Conservative on 4th July.

Lib Dems in touching distance of being the opposition according to Survation's final MRP poll. Tories virtually wiped out.

https://x.com/survation/status/1808198101964148928?s=61

I would love this to be true.

Saucery · 02/07/2024 19:09

So. Many. People. on local FB groups saying they can’t vote because they don’t have photo ID 🤦‍♀️. I’m trying to be magnanimous but ffs, if you have the wherewithal to sign up for social media, surely you can get your act together enough to arrange a postal vote or photo ID. It’s not like it all sneaked up on people.
A child in my class cheered Farage today (mentioned on Newsround), despite me making it clear that we were not booing, cheering or commenting on any politician in the report. Angry

It can be expired ID, as long as they still look like the photograph on it. #clutchingatstraws
