When do schools break up for summer holidays

I'm looking to book a term time holiday, when do schools in England generally break up for the summer holidays? Appreciate there will be slight variations between different areas. We're elsewhere in the UK and are looking to beat the summer rush, looking around the 12th July.

We're NW Eng: 21-23 July in my local area

19th is our last day.

Independents will finish early July and be off by that time. English states finish the week after or week after that.

Scottish schools will also have broken up by then (I think).

Leicester area normally break up early too I think. You can normally tell when the dates are as the prices change so much!

It’s 25th July in my area. 12th July is incredibly early for any state schools in England to break up

Ours finish on the 19th this year

Leicestershire here and our last day is 11th July!

22nd of July. Scoyltland finishes way earlier, as do private schools and people offen taken their kids out of school in the last two weeks.

If it’s more expensive then you will be hitting the busy time.

Last day is 19th July here.

19-23rd here. Official end of term in Essex is the 23rd July.

23rd/24th July in my area.

i would suggest not booking later than the first week of july.

I follow both due to activities influenced by them. For a cheaper term time holiday either need to be june or September.

Gosh our area must be one of the last to break up. The school closest to me doesn't finish until Friday the 26th July. 🫨

First two weeks of July are the sweet spot for Scots to get away before the English schools break up.
