When do schools break up for summer holidays

I'm looking to book a term time holiday, when do schools in England generally break up for the summer holidays? Appreciate there will be slight variations between different areas. We're elsewhere in the UK and are looking to beat the summer rush, looking around the 12th July.

I have 2 kids in 2 different secondary schools in the same London borough - ones 19th and other is 23rd July

Scotland is the 26 June.

Where are you planning on going? If outside of UK, you might want to look at when their school holidays are too. And other nearby countries...

We booked a holiday once in June thinking it would be lovely and quiet. Was absolutely full of Scandinavian families and we couldn't work out why until we looked up their term dates....!
