Of the sexual abuse of boys.
I'm interested in a poll.
G = you think he was definitely guilty
I = you think he was innocent

You are right!

They are sneaky and clever and you do often hear how lonely and trustworthy they were.

Great point!

But if you thought your child had been abused would you be happy with a payout instead of a prison sentence?
That’s another thing I don’t understand.

I’d be more concerned that someone was offering a payout in the first place in an attempt to shush me and stop it going to court. But personally, as a mother I would not accept a payout, I’d want it to go to court if I honestly felt that person was guilty so yes I do find it strange that it was settled that way but I also think MJ is guilty.

@Ankylo i would kind of get that, if he had neverland and then the kids went home, but it was the sleeping over in his bed? Like, why would anyone want a load of random boys sleeping in the same bed as you?

Because he was messed up. He didn't think of it as wrong.

I'm not saying I'm right, but this is just my gut. He wasn't right in the mind, in my opinion. Perhaps this is just what I would like to believe!

decionsdecisions62 · 12/05/2024 19:41

Guilty but if you ask this question in the US I'm sure they would say innocent as he was like royalty there.

User135644 · 12/05/2024 19:41

Guilty but his music is still so revered and played everywhere. Rolf Harris and Gary Glitter less so.

pocketheart · 12/05/2024 19:42

Jarvis Cocker invading his sickening display on the brits was genius at the time but watching it back now 😳
He was literally flaunting his repulsive behaviour in our faces - thank god Jarvis was brave enough to try and disrupt it.

FreshHellscape · 12/05/2024 19:43

Guilty without a doubt.

One of the FBI agents who took part in the investigation is on record as saying they had good evidence he was guilty. He also said that if Robson and Safechuck had been ready to testify earlier at the time they were investigating the other allegations, Jackson would have gone to prison.

Indeed, if all the boys who made accusations against him, had launched one class action instead of individually, I don’t think he would have gotten away with it.

Where is the record?

StandingMyGround888 · 12/05/2024 19:56

Innocent.

thebear1 · 12/05/2024 20:06

Yes, guilty but protected by his fame.

cultjarteriaky · 12/05/2024 20:12

@Mirabai thanks, before I listen to a biased podcast, do you know the name of the the FBI agent? is he being interviewed on the podcast or is it just the podcaster talking about him?

StandingMyGround888 · 12/05/2024 20:12

Innocent.

It started through one person realising that they could sue. Then began the money train that everybody decided to jump on.

I believe Michael Jackson never reached psychological maturation and his looking after boys particularly white boys was to try to relive his own childhood in a new way. I believe he was generous and naive and it was all a psychological role play for his childhood self which he projected onto the children. He wanted to be the father he never had to his own self and did it projected through others.

I believe people around him saw his vulnerability or even themselves believed that he did it. Then they went after him.

He was cleared at trial.

The two latest accusers in the documentary have gained a lot. There was a lot to gain in accusing Michael Jackson and people went for it.

He’s in the podcast. Why would the FBI agent be biased?

There speaks someone who has never listened to any of the victims’ testimony or sifted through the detailed list of all the sordid stuff the police found in his room and his pc searches - endless porn and photos of young boys.

The horrifying thing is that it was clear he had considered trying to adopt kids.

Newsflash: he was an adult with adult sexual tastes and the little boy lost persona was simply a ruse to groom you and his victims. How anyone was fooled was beyond me.

Djdudbbssbshsjeb · 12/05/2024 20:30

Did anyone here ever seen him in real life?

NorthUtsireSouthUtsire · 12/05/2024 20:31

No I am not a Michael Jackson fan so have no skin in this game .. however I am a criminal investigator who followed the trial and evidence presented ..!just from professional interest..

I absolutely believe he was innocent.. everyone who thinks he is guilty needs to look back on his life !!he simply had NO CHILDHOOD and try to recreate it .

How do you know it’s biased if you have listened to it? He’s one of the 3 people discussing the case.

Mirabai · 12/05/2024 20:39

StandingMyGround888 · 12/05/2024 20:34

He did not have child pornography, that is a lie. Read here about it: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/no-child-porn-found-at-neverland-thenor-now-the_b_577fdfbce4b0f06648f4a3f8

I did not say he did if you read my post more carefully.

Mirabai · 12/05/2024 20:42

Not a very good one clearly.

Have you watching Leaving Neverland?
