... and so each day up until Christmas I will be bringing you a small scene from Playmoland. A kind of Playmobil advent calendar, with just a simple picture each day.

What's behind the door today?

Some snowmen which the children have made! Xmas Smile

@PhotoDad thank you for that account - you couldn't make that up, could you? Although I do feel sorry for the moose!

I've been to Scotland many times, so I know what you mean about Monarchs of Glens!

Pleased you are enjoying the thread! Xmas Smile

Very much so! Unfortunately we gave away our DD's large collection of Playmobil, but it went to a home where it was very much appreciated. Back to lurking, but I do enjoy the pictures and indeed the whole thread. Xmas Smile

Aww, good to know that Playmobil is going to where it's appreciated! We like that. And do feel free to comment again, I love it when people comment, as it adds interest, and keeps the thread in active conversations, so more people get to see it. Thank you again for your link!

What's behind the door today? Some Christmas angels!

Beautiful angels! A whole host of them! 😇

darisdet · 21/12/2023 09:14

Lovely! A heavenly host.

UnbreakMyFart · 21/12/2023 09:15

Glooooooooooooooooooooooria, hosanna in excelsis!

HomeCountyHome · 21/12/2023 09:31

Those look nice sturdy wings. I am reminded of my friend Nell who was an angel in our primary nativity. Everyone else had wings made of tinsel, but her dad made hers out of chipboard.

elephantoverthehill · 21/12/2023 09:41

Chipboard wings, they must have been so heavy!

FuzzyPuffling · 21/12/2023 09:48

Lovely angels.
And I laughed at the chipboard wings. Poor Nell.

ChessieFL · 21/12/2023 11:23

Love the angels!

SoMuchToBits · 21/12/2023 11:44

Hmm, I have some Playmobil mushrooms, maybe I should feed them to the reindeer! Xmas Grin

I've been to 2 Christmas concerts today. Now officially In-the-Bleak-Midwintered out, especially after waiting ages for a bus home in the howling wind. Thawing out now with a Wine (but not a blue one!) fsmile]

I thought for a minute that the angel with the harp had no clothes on!

Westfacing · 22/12/2023 07:56

I'm laughing at the chipboard wings - poor kid!

SoMuchToBits · 22/12/2023 08:01

What's behind the door today? Some people drinking festive beverages!

I like that the working people have kindly allowed the royals in for a drink.

BertieBotts · 22/12/2023 08:38

Green wine!! Is that especially for Christmas? Maybe some kind of pine variety?

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 22/12/2023 08:38

What’s in the green bottle?
(I don’t need to ask what’s in the blue one.)

petalpower · 22/12/2023 08:46

Norman’s made an appearance at last! Is that Michael the beach policeman, King Athelstan and Queen Edith? Nothing says Christmas like a glass or two of blue wine!

SoMuchToBits · 22/12/2023 08:54

It's green wine in the green bottle, and blue wine in the blue bottle! Yes to Norman, King Athelstan and Queen Edith, but not Michael the beach policeman, it's Bossy Ross (you can tell by the megaphone)! Xmas Smile

I knew there was something missing from the build up to Christmas this year, but couldn’t “figure” out what it was. Luckily spotted this thread before it was too late.

Seasons Greetings to @SoMuchToBits , Norman, their majesties ( curtesy) and all the other smiley inhabitants of PlaymoLand.

Whiskeypowers · 22/12/2023 09:11

So pleased to see that even in the kingdom of Playmobil the obligatory going out on the lash in the run up to Christmas tradition is alive and well! 🙃🎄🥂
