... and so each day up until Christmas I will be bringing you a small scene from Playmoland. A kind of Playmobil advent calendar, with just a simple picture each day.

We put our shiny silver trumpets and violins and saxophones on the tree last night.

I don't know if you can mull blue wine! I've always thought of it as being served cold - I actually made some blue wine once (by mixing a small amount of blue curaçao with some white wine) it was quite nice!

Hurrah...blue wine success! Love it.

I love the musical instruments. I’m slightly concerned about Norman and the blue wine but I’m assuming he’s got all his health and safety certificates.

Not to worry, Norm is currently drinking a ! I've just had a lovely lunch with @petalpower.

It looks like blue wine for the entire population of Playmoland. I expect Norman is hosting a social event.

Well, at the last head count the Playmo population was 1353, of whom 1123 are adults, although of course some of them may not drink for various reasons. So that's probably about right!

Glad Norman is having a brew, decafe at this time of night I expect.

Did you and PetalPower have blue wine at lunch Somuch?

I'm not sure Norman's a decaff type of chap! We had a glass of white wine, but then @petalpower was driving so had to switch to a soft drink, and then we had a good old cup of tea with Norm. He showed @petalpower his illuminated Christmas tree!

I was very impressed with Norman’s tree! A lovely lunch with @SoMuchToBits - very disappointed to only have the one (small, don’t worry) glass of wine at lunch but I’m sure we’ll make up for it over the festive season. It wasn’t blue wine either, just a rather delicious white.

Glad you enjoyed it @petalpower and thanks for the delicious salads you brought! A shame you couldn't have more than one glass, and no, it couldn't be blue wine as I'm right out of blue curaçao!

I love the herd of deer. Can they find enough to eat under the snow?

I expect they have been nibbling bits off those trees in the background.

I presume they’re festive reindeer. Some very impressive antlers there!

Looks like several different breeds of deer there, I assume they are an enthusiast's estate herd :)

The mind boggles at reindeer who have been on the wine!

I have been lurking up until now, enjoying the wonderful pictures, but I have to share the sad story of the great Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe and his reindeer/moose.

Also I am currently on holiday in Scotland and the hotel has approximately 7 bazillion variants of the Monarch of the Glen everywhere.
