It's the season of advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so each day up until Christmas I will be bringing you a small scene from Playmoland. A kind of Playmobil advent calendar, with just a simple picture each day.

What's behind the door today?

I love these threads thank you so much doing them!

My DC loved playmobil but are not interested in it any more. It's in 3 big boxes in my loft! The thought of going through it all and putting into sets for sale is so overwhelming. I'd happily post it off to you in bundles if you would be interested in having it to assist with your builds Smile PM me if so

I’ve got one shoebox of Playmo at mine but my mums got our original 1970s Playmo in her loft. We didn’t have much but we do still have a glow in the dark ghost and some red hospital beds.

Love the lanterns. And with a quick adaptation, could surely be used as a nifty shepherd’s crook in the event that the four legged nativity members go wandering.

When I was living in Germany the teenagers used to go around with lanterns, I think it was on St Lucy’s Day, singing a song that went something like, ‘Latterne, Latterne, Sonne, Mond und Sterne’ (lanterns, sun, moon and stars).

Btw it is St Lucy’s Day today so if SoMuch didn’t know this it is a splendid coincidence….or the Playmo people are actually in control here….

Some of the Playmo people do seem to have German heritage going by some of the names so maybe they are subliminally influencing SoMuch with their traditions…

I had no idea it was St Lucy's day! So maybe Noel, Frieda, Jutta and Kurt had something to with it...

The Playmobil people do seem to have a bit of a habit of creating their own stories and personalities (like Marta and Matthias getting together in the 2018 advent calendar, and Apollo becoming a sausage-snaffling dog). Those things were never planned ahead, they just happaned! Xmas Smile

Oh and @petalpower you'd have thought I would have named the others Carol, Holly and Robin, wouldn't you? But Carol is an airport passenger, Robin is in the police force and Holly is a horsewoman... Xmas Grin
