It's the season of advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so each day up until Christmas I will be bringing you a small scene from Playmoland. A kind of Playmobil advent calendar, with just a simple picture each day.

Maybe he could turn his hand to mince pies and fudge brownies in case the bairns don’t fancy sausage in a bap.

There is no negativity in Playmo Land 🙂

(It’s why it was such a tonic during the pandemic. In RL people were understandably upset and stressed but the Playmobil people just got on with it all, smiling.)

Ah, smiling is one thing that Playmo people are very good at!

Yes, there are lots of different Playmo sets! This scene was mad using various sets. The Mary Joseph and baby Jesus doll were from a small children's nativity set we had when ds was young. The angels were also from sets we've had a while, one from the actual nativity set, the others from advent calendar sets. The shepherds were borrowed from royalty (they are princesses, and the headgear has been borrowed from elsewhere). The three little kings were an old set which I had wanted for some time. You can imagine how my eyes lit up when I saw it on eBay a few weeks ago!

Oh, I love a nativity. I thought I wouldn’t get to see one this year so being invited to Playmo Primary Schools has made my day. Thank you.

What does Kylie get up to in the winter?

Good question @MoverOfPaper ! She's actually still deputy PM, so I expect she's quite busy one way or another...

For anyone who doesn't know, Kylie is a lifeguard who stood for parliament, and her life saving party formed a coalition with Norman the Foreman's tea drinking party.

I’d completely forgotten she’s deputy pm. I expect she’s very busy then. I like to think she works with the Playmo StJohns Ambulance and also tries to introduce green tea into the party.

I do so love it when people speculate about the goings on in Playmoland! Your comments make my day!

Beautiful sleigh. I like the Teddy in a Bucket. Did you have to make the wrapped presents yourself?

The bucket is actually a Santa's sack! The presents are from a Playmo set, they come flat, and you just have to fold them into shape.

I hope Santa himself will make an appearance soon! (Apologies if we have already seen Santa and I’ve forgotten…)

So glad to have found this... I love these Playmobile threads you do @SoMuchToBits ... having a frantic and tricky December but finding this has made me pause and smile, so thanks for that 😻
