I wish I knew this before I signed up.

I signed up for Gohenry to allow my child to use a card that belongs to them and has a certain limit of money.

I signed up to Gohenry, completed the application, so far so good.

We received the card but it was the incorrect design. Just spoke to customer service via chat who advised me of how to order a new card. All fine.
However, upon trying to do so, it is asking me for my child's gender. The options are: female, male and non-binary. Confused, I choose not to add one but it doesn't allow me to continue. After speaking to customer service I was informed that I have to select a gender in order to continue.
My child is 6.

Does anyone know of any companies that have a similar service but also know the difference between sex and gender and don't enforce genders upon preschoolers?

I should have expected it tbh. I was going to post in the feminism section but I posted here purely to get advice on alternative products but even so the feminism section is widely known as one of the most frequented sections on Mumsnet and I'm shocked so many females feel unaffected by men.

No because "girl" isn't a sex and male and female aren't genders.

I agree. People are dying everyday. Women are dying at the hands of men everywhere.

Seriously, I’d be poor annoyed at the fact that I was paying £5 a month for a bank card and have to pay to make transfers!!! Just click one ffs there are more important things in the world to worry about.

£5 a month is worth less to me than the safety and lives of females.

Kite card for kids is free and the app has all the functionality of Gohenry. However I think you as the linked adult need to have an account to link from. I recommend their adult current account. Can't guarantee they won't mix up sex/gender though.

@NancyDrooo Lucky you. I feel affected. I am worried to walk home late alone or in the dark, I feel uncomfortable in public toilets and can no longer use changing rooms in quite a few places.
I wish I were you.

I posted the background to explain the issue. The responses are now focused on the gender ideology so I'm responding to them.

Maybe to you, Andrew. Personally, men are a risk to women's lives and this is a prominent issue to me.
