Which episode did you find scariest?
Mine was Harry Called. I literally felt petrified driving to Tesco at 11am listening to it in beautiful sunshine.

The Brooklyn Poltergeist gave me the shivers, and of course “bloody hell Ken”!

I couldn’t get on with the Battersea Poltergeist or the Witch House one; the dramatisations annoy me but I love the straightforward first-person storytelling of Uncanny.

I liked the story of the 100 mph ghost in the Haunted podcast (Percy Lambert, who was killed at Brooklands).

The Luibelt story was a good one too.

I'm just listening to these for the first time!

Have to say that people appearing in the road is a bit of a horror movie cliché and the bothy story felt a bit... let's just say, like it had grown in 50 years of the telling.

I enjoy it more if I think of it a bit like a mockumentary rather than that the people saying it are real events.
In most of the stories they do go one step too far.

The last one, Uncle Jack, got me good!

I hid under the covers at the scary part as I listened in bed.

Loved Battersea Poltergeist, not so much The Witch Farm.

I am currently reading the book and next week there's the new TV show. I'm going to be fully ghosted out soon.

My brother’s got a brilliant story and I keep trying to persuade him to write in, but he won’t.

I feel like most of them Are a 10 min story stretched to 30 minutes but still the best podcast

I can't remember which episode it was but the one with the young boy in the flat who saw the woman in the bed holding out her hand as if to invite him to get in.

I'm firmly team sceptic but I do enjoy them just as stories.

Not an actual episode but I looked up the photos on Danny Robins website which a woman had come across on her phone. She and her husband kept seeing a mysterious little girl but these photos seemed unconnected. The photos had been taken whilst the woman and her husband were out doing the school run. DR had put the photos on his website so the you wouldn't accidentally come across them in your newsfeed or whatever. I was intrigued of course and looked up the photos. When I opened them I physically jumped! Creepiest thing I have ever seen! Shock

My family's poltergeist was really creepy- just thinking about it is giving me goosebumps.
As for the ghost that followed us home and the pictures, I actually found that one the least convincing. The photos posted above imo look like a negative of a child selfie. Could have been taken in the car or in a room. I feel like the couple really wanted to make her real (not saying she's not) but they saw these things and joined up the dots for themselves. The apparent footprint on the chair could have been caused by so many different things as well.

And The Blue Man is very compelling. Team sceptic struggled to explain that one away.
The bothy one I'm convinced they'd had too many magic mushrooms.

Yeah, those photos are definitely a very small child taking a selfie in the back of a car, with a positive-to-negative filter on. Didn’t the mum say the time stamp showed they were taken when everyone was out of the house on the school run? If the child was using a tablet during the journey they could have saved onto the mum’s phone via the cloud.
It’s a very creepy effect though! Made me jump a little when I first saw it.

Yes to the style being a bit annoying, stories are fab though. I’m finding it increasingly difficult to tolerate the “I know what I, saaaaaaaaw” soundbite, it’s far too overplayed.

I’m not enjoying the Uncanny Live episodes so much in series 2. I think some of the stories are a bit weak, although I liked hearing from Bloody Hell Ken again.

The blue man was a very good story.

I've also been listening to the Frightful podcast - anyone else tried that? The aliens on the train was brilliant.
