I want something Autumnal. But I don't know what.

I'm tired, aching and grouchy and want something autumny and comforting but I don't know what. Anyone care to make a suggestion?

What do I want? A pumpkin mug? To go conker collecting? A string of felted bat lights? A new blanket? A spiced hot chocolate? Candles? A witch costume?

If anyone can work out what I'm after I'd be grumpily grateful.

Stew with dumplings followed by jam sponge and custard!

I want apple crumble and custard now!

A duffle coat, fingerless gloves and a bonfire

An electric throw or blanket.

A homemade soup/stew.

Apple and gooseberry crumble, warm, with custard.

Once October comes around I'm planning to make a little display of squashes and pumpkins for the coffee table, which I will then eat my way through in November.

Oh also a new hat/scarf/gloves/boots/jumper.

Or all of the above.

Here are all my autumn cliches -

Wellies and coat to go for a brisk walk
A blanket to snuggle in when you get back
Drinking a hot chocolate in your autumnal mug and reading an apt autumnal book before you put dinner on of nice hearty soup or stew
Then snuggle some more in your blanket with fluffy socks eating apple crumble watching some cheesy films maybe Christmas themed ones.

I forgot that you must light your scented candles too

Well this is a fantastic thread. Just what I need to get me in the cosy mood and plan a lovely evening when I get home from work today.

I've been enjoying candlelit baths lately, for a warming and calming autumn evening activity.

You want stuffed butternut squash (or any seasonal squash), a maple hazel latte from Costa and shed loads of nice candles. A new pair of boots as well.

So far I have acquired a pumpkin (I'm pretending it's for DD but who am I kidding?) and have had a maple hazel hot chocolate.

I went looking for a candle but nothing was quite right. And none of them even came close to the wonderful pumpkin soufflé candle that Anthropologie did a few years ago. I still have the empty jar and I mourn that candle every autumn.

I have felted pumpkin bunting front Etsy, I’ve added fairy lights to them and they go above the fireplace. They make me ridiculously happy.

I saw a really nice autumn wreath in the Range and now I want one to hang inside the door of my garden office
