This is 9 months after the accident that he had while filming Top Gear - and which has stopped all production on the series.

I'm assuming a lot of reconstructive surgeries?

I wish him all the best. A really nice guy. My Dad met him just before the accident. I've always been a huge fan.

Well, on the app it is still a fairly inflammatory thread title.

"Jesus, FF's face" - if this is edited I dread to think what it said before. Please reconsider your edits, if the thread must stand why can't the title be along the lines of "FF - photo from BBC News website"

This is a bit distasteful. Just feels a bit odd to post his "injuries" & discuss it. Obviously this is why he's been out of the public eye for a while.

I’m another one who loves Freddie Flintoff. I really hope that he’s out and about because he’s starting to recover. I wish him all the best.

Good to see him out & about. He looks different-something in his eyes. The trauma of the accident perhaps. I hope he continues to recover.

I think the most shocking thing is seeing that picture and realising how bad the crash must have been. Freddie seems to be such a lovely person, it's so sad that he had to go through all this.

There are a few different photos of him and the op's photo isn't the best angle. Other photos he looks happy and relaxed. He is still ridiculously handsome, and has beautiful bones.

Didn't know about the accident it must have been horrendous for him and his family. Glad he is out and about and having fun.

i remember when top gear was that Quentin bloke talking about cars. Those where the days, less testosterone and more quality.

I think this thread is mean spirited to be honest and should be taken down.

I have family members who have had facial surgery and they found it hard enough going out whilst things were still healing without it being discussed by people on the internet.

I wish him well in his recovery.

This. It's was clearly a bloody awful accident and glad to see him recovering.

I too have a soft spot for him, always have.

His injuries were obviously severe and I can only imagine the pain he’s been in over the course of the past year.

I hope he has lots of support around him, it must have been, and likely continues to be, a very challenging time.

I was surprised by the photos as the accident was nine months ago and it made me think that the accident must’ve been more serious than I realised and therefore his road to recovery longer. Wish him the best.

Not necessarily. The health & safety executive investigated and found no serious failings.

It is possible for something to be accident and nobody’s fault.

There was little ‘publicity’ as you call it, because it was such a horrific accident. At the time his colleagues feared he would never work again or be seen in public. He looks well, but very different, bearing mind all he has been through.
