Brooklyn 99 always manages to subvert. The moment when you think Holt is about to flip when Jake does the full bull pen but then he joins the celebration.

Brooklyn 99 is honestly one of the funniest most brilliant comedies I watched it with the dds who are 10 and 13 and we laughed until we cried so much.

One thing I loved about it is that Jake is overwhelmingly positive about everything in life and within all the laughing there's food for thought there.

Andy Samberg has stand up too it's on one of the streaming services.

Love B99 we watched it so many times with the kids and quote each other stuff all the time. Captain Raymond Holt is one of my favourite comic characters but I love them all.

I love B99 and Schitt's Creek. Just did a B99 full rewatch and am starting to see the differences between Hitchcock and Scully - I loved the episode that gave their back story.

I also love The Good Place, though it recycles a few good lines from B99 - the Kevin and Gina actors both have significant roles, and the show has a sweetness to it (sags a bit in the middle seasons, but ends very well).

I love the way Jake is silly, playful, irreverent, but also a really good cop with a strong sense of right and wrong. It's sad that the discourse around policing in the US in the last few years made it impossible for the show to continue.
