Does this work for a wedding guest?

I absolutely love this dress and it's. A gorgeous fit, but I'm worried I might come across as too formal- please let me know if I'm overthinking!

Context: wedding is in Istanbul, in the evening and the bride has told me she loves it, but I just want to sensecheck. I've only recently lost enough weight to wear anything like this and I'm still trying to get used to adapting my style from constantly covering up all my bumpy bits.

Definitely not TOO formal. Weddings are one of the most formal occasions you can go to, imo you cannot be overdressed as a wedding.

My husband is Turkish and having been to a few weddings myself they definitely go for it! So you definitely won't be out of place!
One thing is check that they are not doing a party outside because that is fairly common and if so you may want to take a coat/jacket to keep off the chill

It is a lovely dress. I don't know enough about Turkish weddings to know if it is suitable. But if you are worried, you could always dress it down with a blazer or a wrap.

Just one silly question - how do you pee in a body suit if it's full length?

Beautiful dress OP. My only question is what time of year is the wedding? If it's likely to be really warm, if you sweat in that colour, it'll be visible. The body suit will work in your favour there, but might not help eg under arms.

May be a non issue but is something I'm a little conscious of in a subtropical zone.

I think it's lovely to wear to a formal evening wedding. I see so many posts on here and the dresses aren't at all suitable for a wedding. They look more like something you'd wear everyday to the office or for a pub lunch.

If the wedding is on the other side of the Atlantic, it is perfect.

I got married last year and one of my guests wore a dress just like this, I thought she looked stunning. You've shown the bride and she's happy so go for it.
