I don't want an encore... that ending was sublime!

MadCatLady27 · 25/06/2023 23:03

I'm not into a lot of his music but that was absolutely superb. Wow.

Arabels · 25/06/2023 23:03

I’m guessing the curfew is exact

Lana del R learned that the hard way 👀

Jakadaal · 25/06/2023 23:03

That was fabulous! Thank you Elton and thank you for this lovely thread. A night to remember. As a previous poster said a soundtrack of my life 💕

Appalonia · 25/06/2023 23:03

Wow I will never forget that, amazing.

The curfew is very strict I think.

Ionacat · 25/06/2023 23:04

DP says I'm the only person on earth who visualises a 3" woman during tiny dancer...

I think of those music box ballerinas Grin

Was hoping for step into Christmas 😭

WhatsTheEffingPoint · 25/06/2023 23:05

Wow....now that is how you headline!

OrlandointheWilderness · 25/06/2023 23:06

Yay @JaneJeffer! Mine is a mini Tina turner (getting dancer song's confused 😂).

Now that was how you end a career.

Jellykat · 25/06/2023 23:06

QOTSA still rocking the f out of it, crowd going mental Grin

Should have done Circle of Life and Step into Christmas as the encore Grin

ImAOneWayMotorway · 25/06/2023 23:06

That was fabulous, I was so here for an encore! Just brilliant 👏 loved it!

BestIsWest · 25/06/2023 23:06

That was great, Thank you Elton!

Paddingtonthebear · 25/06/2023 23:07

Also hoped for a bit of Step into Christmas 😆

Really pleased there wasn’t a George hologram. Not sure I could take it 😭. I’m sure I read Elton saying he had fallen out with George before he died, very sad.

Appalonia · 25/06/2023 23:08

I feel bereft now, need some v feel good act to compensate for that.

cocksstrideintheevening · 25/06/2023 23:09

What a way to go out of that is his last uk show. I cried.

Elderflower14 · 25/06/2023 23:09

I loved it.. Saw EJ in 2004 at Ipswich... An unknown James Blunt was the support act and I was bloody furious as the rest of the tour was the Scissor Sisters!!

RedCrestedDragon · 25/06/2023 23:11

Thanks for the company 👍🏻, great thread.

Elton really is the last of an era isn’t he? The type of act that granny’s know all the words to, parents know all the words to and even kids know all the words to.

we literally know the lyrics to any song by Elton, queen and the Beatles almost as if it’s in our DNA. I honestly don’t think there will ever be anyone again with that quality back catalogue

Appalonia · 25/06/2023 23:12

Even snarky Twitter loved it!😁

Ah, that was great. I never expected to like it so much. You forget how many great songs he did. We can forgive him going a bit pub singer at times, I think. Bet his kids are so proud!
