It’s odd that none of the threads have been deleted for being libellous , which is the most obvious reason to delete 5 or 6 threads about a person with a public profile who is making money from said profile .
Absolutely fair enough if the stuff being posted is all lies and all the posts have been from spiteful trolls, delete away as that would be the correct course of action.
What an absolute kick inthe teeth to women like @Observingtoo , exactly the type of parent MN should be supporting. The sock puppet reason is a new one, possibly because that thread attracted so much interest and was in the spirit of MN.
All MN is doing when they remove these threads is removing evidence of LF behaviour, leaving just her dubious narrative online… remember this woman has alluded recently to having no income apart from her substack subscriptions ( not true ); not having enough money for childcare and heating; having no funding for important new business venture to help women and having a life limiting illness ( 🤷♀️) while having three donation sources online.
Unfortunately this kind of SM ‘scam’ is becoming more common. The individual amounts lost are often considered small and posters have encouraged people to put it down to experience blah blah- great free money for those with enough cheek/ entitlement to go for it. The trouble is there is very little way that these individuals can be held accountable… ie people get donations via their own websites and substack aren’t interested. Threads like these are one of the few ways people like this are exposed.
Still at least some charities that support women will be benefiting from the 10% donation from EP of what … the net or gross profit, or donations already given??? Who knows… but she is slowly getting rumbled .
Would be good to get some clarity from MNHQ about all this. Don’t hold your breath ladies, they are probably still investigating the sock puppet accounts, so they can remove their posts and pop the thread back up … you know, the thread about a DV victim getting scammed out of money. 🙄
