Just seen on Instagram that PS is stepping down with immediate effect from This morning!
I mean, I'm not that bothered but there's been lots of speculation recently re his brother's conviction and the rumoured spat with Holly but I thought it would probably all blow over.
I'm sure he's got a bob or two is loaded but I'm still a bit surprised if I'm honest.

I quite like her and I don't think she's going to care what people think of her. So much nastiness on here

H and P were marketed as such a double act .you know like jack and jill -couldnt say one of their names without the other.i just dont know how Holly can comtinue without looking compromised / totally smirched. I think her position is virtually untenable due to their previous close friendehip plus she isint that popular atall.
Their statement after the queens funeral no one bought it. it just smacked of the stupid joe public theyll believe any BS .
The on air fakery- anyone remenber the fake drunks on the sofa after the crappy tv awards . soo put on. No one was fooled.
Also her Position with her husband a producer is a total turn off too. she needs to go off our screens too. love stephen mulhern. my 80 yr old mum loved Ruth and Eamon and was sad to see them go.she also loves Alison. They get my vote.

He’s gives me the creeps, always has done.

@TheGander his skeletons absolutely are common knowledge in the ents industry and have been for decades.

No one is judging him for being gay, what he is being judged for is how he kept his double life up and how he treated people who got caught up in it.

He has a lot of money and until recently had a lot of power to enforce his secret keeping, including paying a rep management company a lot of money to make sure threads about him were disappeared, pronto.

With his current fall from grace, an NDA about to run out and his many years of being a bully and a generally vile person who made a lot of enemies, the wheels are coming off and for once he can’t control the narrative.

Any other bombshells aside, anyone whose response to a disclosure of child abuse was "don't do it again" doesn't deserve to have a high profile platform and earn £££ as a result.

The big scandal imho is how long it's taken for him to go and ITV to act once this information was made public.

Shades of the BBC and Saville. Money/ratings always trumps integrity.

They are heard in private but in a court room by a judge and are listed in the court list and reported in anonymised fashion - eg re ZXC. I’m not aware of any injunction relating to PS however.

This is what infuriates me, so many people know/knew and kept quiet - couldn't let it be known that good ol' wholesome Phillip was cheating on his wife so they cover up, lie, threaten, distort and of course the power of having that done on your behalf leads to you believing you are untouchable.

The big reveal of his homosexuality was such a performance too, cynically designed to maximise sympathy for Phillip.

Just been confirmed holly has also resigned….

He had no choice other than to leave, the social media wheels have been turning non stop with stories about him in the last few weeks.

But if the rumours ARE true, then HW and This Morning were complicit in covering this up which is pretty unsavoury at best.
I wouldn't be surprised if the show disappears in its current format over the summer and comes back for the autumn schedule with a new name and new presenters.

I dont like him much. Dont like Holly Willoughby either. Bit rich he has been hounded out by her when they were supposed to be friends. I dont get why his brothers behaviour has anything to do with him.

I've heard so much about his and Holly's professionalism. You'd think he'd be able to summon a bit of it for staff he doesn't share a sofa with.

I don’t think she did herself any favours with that statement- the sofa won’t be the same ……unless she was being sarcastic, she comes across as two faced.

Holly needs to go too, the whole show is tainted. Imagine how many people knew Philip was in a “relationship” with the new young guy who turned up as a runner one day, with no previous experience. Who was known as Phil’s special friend and treated as such by everyone - Holly included. She was more than happy to push the image of them both being gin sipping besties, holidaying together and nursing their hangovers like a married couple.

Holly was instrumental in that fake cringeworthy “coming out” episode on This Morning, right before he got Eamon and Ruth sacked for speaking up about the runner Matthew’s treatment.

She has turned on him to save her own career, but was happy to hide his secrets when it suited her. He’s a repulsive man but Holly can’t play the victim and simper her way out of this one.

This reminds me of when Angus Deayton had to leave HIGNFY because he became the story. We never saw him again, hopefully the same will happen here.

There’s a very long line of people Philip has done dirty - Eammon, Ruth, Rylan, Amanda Holden, Matthew McGreavy.
