Just seen on Instagram that PS is stepping down with immediate effect from This morning!
I mean, I'm not that bothered but there's been lots of speculation recently re his brother's conviction and the rumoured spat with Holly but I thought it would probably all blow over.
I'm sure he's got a bob or two is loaded but I'm still a bit surprised if I'm honest.

I really wish Dr Ranj had waited a couple of weeks before posting his toxic Instagram post. Now the toxic story is at the forefront and not PS grooming.

I agree with you. I expect PS is delighted that he story is moving away from him. I expect will keep digging though, I doubt this is the first time Ps has behaved in such a disgraceful way.

I watched a bit of this morning and was following the #ThisMorning comments on Twitter which were very funny. It was all so awkward it was squeaking and they had virtually no guests.

It was an embarrasing show. Alison Hammond adopted a laugh like a fake drain very very loudly all the time. Dermot looked like he wanted to be somewhere else.

If I had a book or tv show to plug, I think I'd steer clear too.

Well it didn’t take long for Phil to hit back did it? Anyone thinking he was sat crying in Cornwall with only his Mum for company misjudged this prima Donna. Someone with an ego that size is never going to let people like Eamonn and Dr Ranj - who he deems inferior him - talk about him like that!

Just waiting for MM to have his say, and he will.

I agree. This really is an unholy mess to get caught up in. I hope whatever has happened/happens he has or does get something out of it - whether in terms of a NDA payoff or a large £ for selling his story - because , as entertaining as the public celebrity spat is for the rest of us, this is his life and is not a public figure and has to live the rest of his life.

I'm just delighted PS is no longer hosting TM

Everyone on TM seems happier and more relaxed albeit a bit awkward re the PS situation because they can't say anything about it or give their opinions.

I think itv are pretty short sighted all round tbh, they use a tiny number of presenters for their main shows. Between Ant and Dec and P&H that’s most of the main shows covered. How does new talent get established if they use so few for so many shows?

But in the odd occasion I was at home from work and turned it on he made my skin crawl

Have you never noticed this in television generally? TV is expensive to make and producers are profit orientated.
Testing out someone unknown is a very expensive risk. So once someone gets established, they get used again and again and again.
If you look across television as a whole - live presenting, panel shows, quiz shows, current affairs - there are a tiny amount of people doing all the work.
Think of people like Fiona Bruce, Claudia Winkleman, Alex Jones.

It is a serious problem in TV because there are load of crappy people who are barely passable but experienced so get repeated gigs - whereas lots of people out there of all ages would be much better (think of Holly Willoughby's inspid questioning for example or Alison Hammond's idiocy and lack of education) - but they don't get tested as it seen as too high risk.
