Facebook friend requeat glitch

Is anybody else experiencing this glitch? You go onto somebody's page and it automatically requests them as a friend.

Beware stalkers! 😆

Got a friends request from an ex I haven't spoken to in 3 years and I've since married! He will be squirming when he realises!!

This just happened to me! Was stalking someone I previously deleted and then it requested them. Thought I pressed it by accident! Awkward

Now I'm wondering who else I've stalked today. Can't bare to think 😂

Omg just looked at my activity and it sent a request to a friend of a friend of someone from uni over 10 years ago. Noooooo. I've just cancelled it now and hope she hasn't seen it. 😂😭

I can't seem to find out if I've sent any more requests? In my sent friend requests bit it just shows one from 2009 and no others but two people have accepted requests from me (apparently) today.

I regularly look at the profiles of various conspiracy theorists because I find their crazed rantings hilarious and I like to know what's new in loonytown. I have sent friend requests to 3 of them and two of them accepted. Aaargh. Now deleted again.

oh no! I hoped the fact there was nothing new on my activity log meant I was in the clear.

I looked at a contentious local issue group earlier and I'm sure I only clicked on a post and the author of the post has accepted me

I have no idea who she is but can tell from her posts she's a troublemaker, I may stay friends just for the craic😀

I had a FB friend request today from the wife of a man I worked with 10 years ago! I barely knew him them, have had no contact with him since then or any social media interaction. He's got a lot of FB friends so not sure why she'd be looking at me. Good to know why she added me though! Very weird.

How long has this glitch been active? You all surely haven't stalked this many people on one day have you?

If you go to friends at top left hand corner, you can see any requests (yours and others)

On a related note (ahem) and seeing as I am amongst friends, if you look up someone you don't know and search for photos of them, nothing comes up! I've tried with a few random people and there are no results.

This is a big part of my stalking! maybe those days are over for good now

I got a request from a Dad of DD's primary school classmates. She's 25 now! Yikes! I don't think I've ever met him! 😂

That would explain the four entirely random requests I received. I never use Facebook so I was quite perturbed.

How do you mean? I've just tried searching some I'm not friends with and can see photos.

I've just scrolled Reddit and it seems people have had their entire "people you may know" list added simply by passively scrolling past the bar across their page.

I'm so glad I'm not on Facebook anymore! This is a massive invasion of privacy surely?
