Needing the Loo at the coronation.

Some of the guests have been there since 7am.
Are they allowed to go out for the loo.
What about the musicians/guards etc.
I'd of had to turn down the invite if I'd received one.

I just thought the same and then had visions of everyone wearing tena (must be other brands available)

OMalleysAlley · 06/05/2023 10:00

Adult nappies.

IndiaPaleAle · 06/05/2023 10:18

There are toilets in the abbey

@IndiaPaleAle that's good

I wondered that. Good there are toilets, but what if Camilla needs a pee in the middle of things? She can’t just wander off presumably!

WandaWonder · 06/05/2023 11:30

That was my first thought!, I need to know where the loo's are all the time

Mariposista · 06/05/2023 12:15

This is always my first thought too!!!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 06/05/2023 12:17

Haha glad I'm not the only one pondering this. I imagine they do a lot of training during their life as a royal for sitting still for many hours.

I imagine there is someone tucked behind the Waleses on hand to scurry C and L to the loo if needed

HelpMeGetThrough · 06/05/2023 12:36

I suspect there are a few very dry mouths in the Abbey. Probably been "nil by mouth" since last night.

Costa and Starbucks down the road will be rammed after this.

knobheeeed · 06/05/2023 13:11

Charles and Camilla will have been for a wee just before getting into their coaches. They'll have drunk less this morning too.
Guests will make sure they go for a wee just before the ceremony starts.

AgnesX · 06/05/2023 13:13

You know, I always thought these people must have bladders of steel. And a mass stampede after the event!

NewUserName2023 · 06/05/2023 13:26

I imagine once you're in your seat in the abbey that's it. Maybe everyone wears Tena?

RudsyFarmer · 06/05/2023 13:28

I wouldn’t drink a thing if I were there. I’d rather be horribly dehydrated than sit there needing the toilet.

LlynTegid · 06/05/2023 13:29

I nominate this thread for Mumsnet Classics.

Mischance · 06/05/2023 13:29

I was hoping Charles' prostate is small!

sadafteemove · 06/05/2023 13:32

Prince Louis seemed to disappear at one point - we were wondering here if he’d needed the loo! And when a kid has to go, they can’t just hold it in!

CatticusFinch · 06/05/2023 13:32

Everyone says Tena on these threads but surely they aren't for a full on wee?

charabang · 06/05/2023 13:36

Tena are just for seepage

MoreHairyThanScary · 06/05/2023 13:40

Depends on the Tena pad there are different sizes and absorbancies

QueenofLouisiana · 06/05/2023 13:43

We discussed this while watching. I reckoned you wouldn’t be able to buy an adult nappy anywhere in central london this weekend- all being used in the Abbey.

TheWelshposter · 06/05/2023 13:51

I was wondering this too...they were in the Abbey for so long! I wouldn't have made it 🤣

I noticed that too. I suspect that the nanny was hidden behind the pillar at the side ready to swoop in.

redspottedmug · 06/05/2023 13:53

Apparently there are loos, but they would be shut during the actual service. Probably a massive queue for the ladies after C&C left the abbey.

Harringtonperle · 06/05/2023 13:56

What if they need to poo?
