What's the most attractive trait / quality someone can have?

Just this. What makes someone attractive in your eyes. I'm quite drawn to intellectual men ( I'm thick as mince myself) I just find it so grrrrr when someone really knows stuff and is effortless without the arrogance.

Positivity. There's something about being energy like that which is so uplifting

greenthumb13 · 02/05/2023 22:51

I agree on intelligence. Close second is sense of humour

FuckNuggets · 02/05/2023 22:52

Natural charm. My husband is incredibly charming and he never realises it until I point it out. It's one of his most attractive and endearing traits.

All of the above, plus a massive dick.

😂Brilliant! Totally agree.

JaneyGee · 02/05/2023 22:53

Self-mockery is immensely attractive. I love people who can laugh at themselves.

Kindness would be a close second.

In third place I’d put manners. When I say manners, I mean knowing how to behave, how to hold a civilised conversation, etc.

I also admire people with principles. I mean people who have a code of honour and stick to it, regardless of what everyone else does.

SugarMiceInTheRain · 02/05/2023 22:56

Kindness, integrity and intelligence (but without arrogance). My husband has all of these in spades, as does my best friend (male).

FinallyHere · 02/05/2023 23:01

Honesty and decency, but truly, sense of humour does it for me every time.

A really funny, and clever joke

DH sadly knows he can get around me on any subject with a clever, well timed joke. Swoon.

Maraudingmarauders · 02/05/2023 23:07

Generosity ( not necessarily financially, at least all the time, but with their time or energy) - to lots of people not just their nearest and dearest. Not to say they don't have boundaries, but if a neighbour asks for help digging a trench, or they see someone struggling to get something out of their boot, or a friend wants some paperwork looking over. That kind of thing.

Also an interest in the world around them. I can't connect with people who aren't fascinated by every day things, or who don't want to learn more about the world we live in. To be perpetually interested, in a wide variety of topics, is hugely attractive to me.

ImpeckableChicken · 02/05/2023 23:11

Charm does it for me.

and as said above…big arms 😍😏

TheSaint01 · 03/05/2023 05:27

Not to be a big narcissistic, lying, gaslighting, cheating pig.....

DriedFlowersLiveForever · 03/05/2023 06:04

Leadership qualities, happy to take charge now and again rather than leaving life to me to organise.

winteriscoming2022 · 03/05/2023 07:44

Generosity of spirit covers everything I hold dear

I had a boyfriend who announced in awe that calamari were like “fishy onion rings”

I stayed with him for another five years 😳

I mean... he wasn't wrong 😂

plywhytrybuy · 03/05/2023 08:26

Good sense of humour, ambition/passion, kindness

echt · 03/05/2023 08:27

For first encounters, intelligence and humour.
Later, kindness, hard worker, extrovert.

God I miss my lovely late DH.

Florissante · 03/05/2023 08:29

Intelligence.

logicisall · 03/05/2023 08:40

Height. I'm a shortarse and won't look at anyone under 6' 😜
Ambition, intelligence, self confidence and charm. Another one who misses deceased DH who was always proud of me and what I had achieved.

Chocbuttonsandredwine · 02/05/2023 21:13

Seriously though intelligence, someone I can talk with

I remember one (ex) boyfriend asked me what Chicken Kiev was. I died

You sound awfully snobby.

You sound awfully snobby.

Surely it should be Chicken Kyiv?

Never knew that not knowing about CK is classed as unintelligent. 🤔

Lampzade · 03/05/2023 09:17

Humility

25 years ago it was definitely Kiev.

he probably wouldn’t have known what Kyiv was either 😂

RicherThanYews · 03/05/2023 09:30

Kindness and a huge fan of animals.

BloodyHellKen · 03/05/2023 10:01

Bluebells1970 · 02/05/2023 21:08

Decency. Plain old, common or garden decency. Moral fibre.

That's the most attractive quality imo.

Absolutely agree. Someone can be funny, good-looking, intelligent but if they don't have any decency then that is a major failing.
