I've just had my second coffee, I've stripped the beds and put a wash on. My plan is to give the house a good clean this morning, might take dd to the park this afternoon. DH is working.
Then later it's sorting uniforms etc for school for youngest dd and stuff for work for me then tv and an early night.
What are you up to today?

Alternating between sitting up in the kitchen & laying down on the sofa, feeling sorry for myself & a bit nervous about tomorrow's hospital appointment.

I've put a wash on, had a cuppa, and had a lie down already 🙄

The girls are keen to try the air fryer my dad bought us, so we'll do that. Dd1 will most likely complete some coursework due this week (well, at least, I hope she does!) and dd2 will have her nose stuck in one of the five or six books she has on the go at the mo.

CornishGem1975 · 01/05/2023 09:25

So far, yelling at my toddler.

yipitsher · 01/05/2023 09:29

Getting my breakfast at our caravan, then we'll head home. DH is taking kids swimming later and I will catch up on married at first sight Australia get lots of housework done

dontgobaconmyheart · 01/05/2023 09:31

DP's working, as usual on a BH.

I'm trying and failing to have a lie in, the dog has decided that isn't acceptable.

Just a normal day really otherwise - get a few small jobs done -some washing, bit of paperwork, consolidate a few things I've been meaning to take to the charity shop. If it's warm enough I'll sit on the patio with a book and a tea later on; if not the same but inside. I fancy doing a bit of baking later for the week ahead and will take the dog to the beach early evening as per!

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/05/2023 09:32

Working.

dementedpixie · 01/05/2023 09:33

Dh has gone to work
I'm going to go and do body attack at the sports centre
Kids are in bed. Ds needs to revise for an exam on Thursday.
Have set a wash up to go on while I'm out
Nothing interesting planned

Chemenger · 01/05/2023 09:33

Working. I work at a university that doesn’t take bank holidays. There are exams today.

Coffeeandbourbons · 01/05/2023 09:35

Sleeping, changing nappies, breastfeeding, making snacks/drinks/meals for a toddler, trying to keep the house looking a bit better than an absolute shit hole, and mainlining coffee so I don’t nod off standing up

DS is 1 month old and DD was up for 3 hours last night with croup

Eggseggseverywhere · 01/05/2023 09:36

Me and dh are taking 5 dc to Lightwater Valley! Picnic packed..
Gaga on the tunes!

MirrorMirror1247 · 01/05/2023 09:36

I've submitted a uni assessment and I'm waiting for the guy I'm seeing to let me know if he can meet up today, his car showed a warning light so he's going to try to get hold of the garage. My car is fine so I've told him I can pick him up!

Sending hugs. My son ALWAYS got croup when he was a baby/ toddler so I know how hateful it is. Make sure the coffee is continuous and strong xxx

Currently in the living room with Ds aged 10 who is playing fifa on the Xbox. I was going to cut the grass later but we’ve got a baby blackbird who seems to be living in our flowerbed and the mum and dad are coming back with worms to feed it for the past 2 days now 😳❤️ so don’t want to disturb them. It’s very sweet to watch; Ds has autism and is obsessed with birds so to have our very own bird family taking residence in our flower bed is very lovely. I just hope the baby bird will be okay as he’s not in a nest 🤷‍♀️ but the mum and dad seem really dedicated to it. I feel like an anxious parent!

Berlinlover · 01/05/2023 09:38

I’m working 10.30 to 6.30 today.

My cars in the garage tomorrow for the ABS light. Bit annoying as I need it for work so will see if a colleague can give me a lift

As little as possible, just worked 7 days in a row.

KetoViking · 01/05/2023 09:39

Just moved in with my partner yesterday, so unpacking, sorting, organising the reams of crap I seem to have brought with me and DS!
Building the furniture I brought with me
And waiting for a food delivery this afternoon, which is a huge novelty to me after years of walking for miles to various supermarkets!
Might go for a hike later, we've been living in North London so the Highlands is like heaven to me!
(Probably not so much 10 year old DS! 😂)

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 01/05/2023 09:45

Still in bed reading. Cat curled up at my feet. DD playing roblox with her mates. Need to walk into town in a bit to buy my brother's birthday present. Got choir tonight as usual for a Monday. Will clean bathroom as didn't do it yesterday. Got to work next Monday 🙈

Ragwort · 01/05/2023 09:50

Off to work soon ... don't mind at all as it's always a nice relaxed atmosphere on a BH.

Thanks that’s really kind. I heard ‘the cough’ just as I was putting the baby to bed and my heart sank! Luckily it didn’t get bad enough to take her for steroids, really hoping she will grow out of it soon ☹️

Decafflatteplease · 01/05/2023 09:52

Morning all. Hope your appointment goes well @lucysmam and you get some answers!

Pottering around this morning, getting washing on the line etc.

Packing up a quick picnic in a bit and we are off to a NT place meeting some family there too should be nice. Fresh air always good!

Think we might get fish and chips on the way home!

oh that is so lovely

Susiesue61 · 01/05/2023 09:58

It’s my birthday! Being spoilt this morning, then need to drop my sister and nieces at the station. Entertaining MIL this afternoon, then DH and the 3 grown up children are taking me over to Liverpool for dinner and cocktails ❤️

yellowsmileyface · 01/05/2023 10:05

@Susiesue61 Happy Birthday! Always nice when it falls on a weekend/bank holiday. Enjoy!

Not really a day off for me. I have a uni assignment due in on Friday which I need to work on. Should probably get my arse off mumsnet!

PhoenixIsFlying · 01/05/2023 10:09

My mum is not at daycare so after I have dropped my daughter off at her friend's we will be attempting a dog walk in her wheelchair. ( currently looking for off road one). Come home tidy up the mess my daughter has managed to make over the weekend. Pick up my daughter and hopefully chill a bit in clean home.
