7.30pm on a Friday night...

(Ok, 7.39pm but...) I've finished most of what I had to do at work, called my DM, tidied the kitchen. DH is putting DS to bed, I've open a bottle of white, homemade lasagne for tea and it's my film choice so we're watching Empire of Light. What's happening where you are??

Marking essays that I have been putting off for the whole of the Easter holidays

Oh, God. I have to do that tomorrow. Will have another glass of wine and try not to think about it.

Playing roblox with the teenagers, will watch a film with them after this. 12 year olds choice so probably something like Schindler's list. (She loves history)

DH is making me a G&T as we speak. Crispy chicken tacos for dinner. DDs are in bed and candles are lit. About this time on a Friday is my favourite time of the week!

Onto my 5th cold of the year having spaghetti bol, garlic bread with lashings of cheese. And red wine.

I’ve got wine, DP has got beer. DS1 is at a sleepover, DS2 is upstairs enjoying the peace.

We’re catching up on Thursday and Friday’s House of Games at the moment, I will make dinner shortly (gammon, egg, chips and beans) and then catch up on Taskmaster and Masterchef.

Busy day tomorrow as we’re off to Spain for a few days so should get an early night but probably won’t!

Got greatest hits radio listening to Martin Kemp. He is always smiling. Seems a happy soul. Nowt much happening here. Rock and roll🙄🤣

Eating raspberry ripple icecream, warming my feet on the Ddog and catching up with recorded stuff on the Sky box. Washer and dryer on. All peaceful here

Just put the baby down after chicken and chips. Now for a nice long bath then watching Yellow Jackets.

Home alone, DD out with her gf, may or may not come home tonight. Bottle of red, plate of cheese and some honey and crackers. Just discovered MasterChef has been recorded this week, didn't realise it was back on so am watching that, punctuated by the back door open, back door shut game with the cats.

Finished work at seven, sitting on the sofa crocheting whilst my ready meal cooks. Then early night as I'm back at work for 7am

Just finished kettle bell workout & now making a late tea. Kids in various different rooms watching tv and talking to friends

Just got home from early doors cocktails with DH. Both have a cold so only 3 cocktails. Now home for wine and nibbles (and bird watching the garden dusk) before cooking one of our fave dinners.

Kids are fast asleep I'm sitting in bed watching The OC whilst husband has a preening session 🤣 head shave, nails cut, looooong shower.

I've just taken some swabs in order to join the blood donor register. Then going to write a to do list for my day off tomorrow. It's DP's turn to put DD to bed, she's fighting it hard at the moment so I might have to get involved, if it doesn't go on too long we might watch an episode of The Last of Us, then it will be an early night as I'll be up early with DD.

Just ate a huge wedge of lemon cheesecake and am watching Fraggle Rock (new series, and it's actually good!) with DS, one last episode before bed for him.
Then I'll repack his swimming bag for tomorrow morning, do the dishes and quick tidy-up, set washing machine to start early in the morn, have my shower and get in bed with a new book from the library.

Last day of solo parenting while DH on back shift. Kids in bed, rewatching The Walking Dead, glass of wine and a sharer bag of crisps just for me. Then might crack open one of the kids Easter eggs 😀

I’m in bed watching Corrie. It’s easier being upstairs because DS1 is in bed after having his ankle fused and the ligaments repaired on Tuesday. I’ve been up and down the stairs like a yo-yo all week fixing his covers and bringing him food and drink.

DH is downstairs watching something rubbish on Netflix. He can bring the drink and snacks up if any are required.

DS has got mates over so they've taken over the living room. I'm in my bedroom having a home made cocktail listening to music and scrolling.

In my uni days I used to order just one thing from our local Greek-Italian takeaway: white lasagne! It had chicken and spinach, and a special white sauce (plus the béchamel) instead of tomato... it was deeeeeelicious.

Bathing toddler before attempting to get him to bed after a serious danger nap. Did have an aperol spritz and a chippy tea earlier though so all is not lost

Finished work at 5.30 went to pub with DS and DH, got fish and chips in way home , now thinking about a snooze on the sofa ...
