I like it!

You could put absolutely ANYTHING on MN and someone will be along to tell you how it's a big bag o shite 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sartre · 12/04/2023 17:39

They’ve taken neutral and smashed it with a sledgehammer. It won’t be to many people’s tastes really so would need full redecoration which puts a lot off.

Sartre · 12/04/2023 17:39

Looks like Kat Slater lives there.

wendywoopywoo222 · 12/04/2023 17:47

I love it. Looks fabulous.

Florissante · 12/04/2023 17:54

I don't see a problem: as another poster said - it's clean and tidy.

incognitodorrito · 12/04/2023 17:56

Sheesh! inspired..!

icelolly12 · 12/04/2023 17:59

It's very Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen!

@Gatekeeper It's nuts. I just went and had a look at the DIY on a budget FB page (I joined that one ages ago but had unfollowed due to getting fed up with faux panelling) literally the most recent post was a fake grass tile feature wall with a neon word sign 🤣 but the house in the OP is SO individual 🤣

Surely the whole point of that Facebook group is for people to get ideas from.

sour and sneery!

thatsn0tmyname · 12/04/2023 18:13

There's a yellow, circular cushion on the bed that's quite nice.........

cocksstrideintheevening · 12/04/2023 18:16

Looks like they let LLB loose in their! Not my taste although the kitchen is ok.

GlasgowGal82 · 12/04/2023 18:21

I love it! The only thing I'd possibly change is the fake foliage on the walls downstairs. I hate astroturf too, but it looks like that's on raised decking rather than the ground so I'll let them off. I'd also love to live in Kirkcubright - such a lovely part of the world.

BigMacExtraPickles · 12/04/2023 18:35

Reminds me of the bar at the Royal Albert Hall

RaininSummer · 12/04/2023 18:38

The living room is wild. Hate the fake grass.

MistyGreenAndBlue · 12/04/2023 18:45

Magnoliainbloom · 12/04/2023 10:57

This is a house with very individual interiors that I absolutely love. It’s maximalist and whacky but very stylish.

Looks like the set for the video of "I Want to Break Free" 😂

InFiveMins · 12/04/2023 18:45

Other than the garden, I think it's great! Makes a nice change from the grey that's everywhere right now.

ItsMyCakeNotYourCake · 12/04/2023 18:48

I bloody love it!!

Sourfairy · 12/04/2023 18:48

sour and sneery!

Yes, that's the point of the FB group. And my point is that faux grass walls with cursive neon signs are so ubiquitous that one was literally the most recent post.

Which is fine. If people like faux grass walls with cursive neon signs, that's fine. But it's not the individual taste and great eye for interiors that everybody on here is applauding the house for. That's all I'm saying.

Sourfairy · 12/04/2023 18:53

LibertyLily · 12/04/2023 17:25

I couldn't have put it better myself!

I'm an eccentric with eclectic verging on maximalist tastes, but I like my interiors to evolve as opposed to this which appears to have been put together 'a la colour by numbers'.

But....good luck to them for daring to be a bit different.

I've seen you around on the home decor board and we have very similar tastes. We probably look at the same kind of stuff online and so can easily recognise this isn't organic.

helloelsie · 12/04/2023 18:54

I love it. They've done what they wanted, it's in good order.

Yes I would change it all to neutrals and pastels if I moved in but fair play to them! Different strokes for different folks

Throwncrumbs · 12/04/2023 19:15

SeeWhatYouGetWhenYouAskAStupidQuestion · 12/04/2023 08:09

It's not to my taste, but I've seen much worse. It's clean and tidy, that's the main thing. The fencing looks decent and the grass is healthy.

The grass is fake. How to make a small house look even smaller!

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 12/04/2023 19:15

The kitchens lovely, once you take the furniture and accessories out it would be less busy. I’m just in admiration of what they have done with a bog standard terrace. The plastic grass would be gone quick though.

ReadersD1gest · 12/04/2023 19:20

The padded wall is a bit much, but I like the half zebra 😂

Let's have a look at your house then OP ?

LlynTegid · 12/04/2023 19:36

I doubt if it looks as neat after today's winds!!
